Selling my PDA and Blazt cables (Pda to serial, serial to Consult port). The PDA is a HP iPaq H5550. Review here: http://www.zdnet.com.au/reviews/coolgear/pdas/soa/HP-iPAQ-H5550/0,139023392,120276703,00.htm Comes with: -Cradle for charging (has some kind of eftpos car reader and printer too) -AC adaptor -2gb SD card -ciggarete lighter charger The pda hasn't been used much so it is still in very good condition, screen is still unmarked with no dead pixels. I loaned it to another member for 2 long holidays and he had no issues with it. Has ECUtalk (freeware) installed on it and TomTom navigator software (you will need a bluetooth gps reciever to use the navigation functions however I just used it to plot maps without the navigation function) Also selling as part of the package the 2 BlaZt cables required to connect it to your Consult port. Consult port->Serial cable and Serial -> pda cable http://www.cazracing.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=203 http://www.cazracing.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=41 With these cables you can charge the PDA through the consult port, handy for long drives to monitor temps, fuel economy, check error codes etc. I bought the cables off caz, they are in as new condition. All up $300, will post at buyers expense or can pickup from me in SE suburbs Melbourne.
so what else can the software tell you, i suppose its a good dianostic tool. does it tell you most the adjustable electrics
the software is freeware, see here: http://ecutalk.com/ not sure what you mean by adjustable electrics, but it can log all the normal sensors (coolant temp, o2's, voltage, tps, duty cylce etc etc) as well as check error codes and log fuel economy. pretty good piece of software. The cables at full length are about 3m long so you can plug the pda in and walk to the front of the engine bay if you need to adjust tps. I forgot to add, the battery was replaced by the previous owner. The paint on the battery is starting to scratch from when it is inserted/removed from the cradle. Other than that the pda is in excellent condition.
so does that mean that the software also does the 0-100 and all that the guy said in the video on the site?
the video (the one linked on the most recent news page) is for the standalone ecutalk lcd display - not the consult software (which doesnt have 0-100 yet)
That would be me. I used this thing non stop on a 3 week road trip in the desert last year and it was great, I even tried to buy it from Sandeep then but he wasn't ready to sell it and I just don't have the money now, otherwise none of you buggers would have got a chance to get it. A handy little device and it works flawlessly.
I never actually figured out how to use the printer, but I did once get it to print something by pressing some buttons in sequence. thanks for posting that pic Col, pda (and cables) are now sold pending payment.
