Try forum member Tektrader. but you will need to be more specific about what you want done, remove the current engine and fit another 2nd hand engine?

Buy an engine crane , chassis stands and a few tools and give it a go yourself :)
Its actually not as hard as it seems

and with the money you save you can do heaps of preventative maintenance work like replacing hoses and do some small mods and bling!

good luck with it all....unless a professional does it, overall you will be spending more on fixes afterwards. If you dont, then your one of the lucky few. Also if it was up to me, and someone offered to do it for 500$ less as a backyard job with no warranty....even 1000$.....id still rather the professionals. Not saying that the backyarder aint a pro...but you know what i mean.

I recommend sticking with the zshop. They can tune and make your car as powerful as mine :D

    Benny_C About as subtle as...

There'll be a MUCH bigger difference than $500-$1000 from a mate doing it in a backyard V's pro labour! - let alone tuning it.
It depends on how much money he has to spend on it really. (and don't forget iCER, we know that you've spent quite a few dollars yourself at Zshop, and more than one engine)

Gee, it's been a while since you've told us how powerful your car is

ok fair nuff, ill go z shop just thought it would be a bit expensive, $88 an hour x 3 days work + 8 hrs a day. its wat they said plus all the hoses and electricals so looking at over $2000 which i thought its a bit silly, i can buy a z for just over $5k.

    any recomendations?

im in Ferntree gully, just acros the road from Sports And Luxury Cars. i really wanna get this fixed asap to go on the next cruise.

and by the way i dont know absolutly nothing about cars. i know how to chek the oil, i know how to change or charge the battery. thats it

    thanks for the feedback guys.

Sorry, not doing any heavy engine work anymore since the workshop and hoist are gone.

Anything that doesnt need a hoist is still open game for me out of my garage.
