Baroo (son) has a pretty much mechanically stock TT that I've driven on several occasions, which is how I've formed my opinion of TT power delivery. Admittedly it's a non-statistical sample of 1, and I'll grant that each car has different characteristics but what I'm referring to is the almost Jekkyl and Hyde situation where the car is very docile if you feather-foot it, but if you get angry, all Hell breaks loose. I'll stick with the NA!
Copper plugs make fuel/air mix go BANG just as well as Iridiums or Platinums, but need replacing much more frequently than the other types. Iridiums die if they get flooded. Platinums FTW... replace once each 100K km service (3x the cost, 5-10x the life)!
There are HEAPS of different parts that make up a 300zx (or any car), engine, brakes, suspension, transmission, exhaust, etc, etc. Even if you have done a rebuild and some other maintenance, it's not as if you have replaced EVERYTHING brand new... There will still be lots of 15-20 year old parts that WILL inevitably will die at some point in the future. Not saying your car isn't reliable, I have an NA for 3 years, and had very little trouble, but it still pays to be prepared for when (not if) something shits itself
