    short answer: no

well you could but you'll end up with an epic slug of a car

shameless plug for my car, check my thread! :p

But yes, it is possible. Is it worth it? No, not at all. IF you have pulled an engine out before and know your way around the 300zx engine bay, have all the tools etc, then yes it can be done for not a whole lot. But turbos out = engine out. Plus, coupled with the TT's different diff ratio, and lower compression, it will be an absolute SLUG

Yea mate that's not going to work out, gets asked a lot around here. You'll end up being slower than a non-turbo, not worth the money.

You could, but the better question is why would you do such a thing?

Castrating a TT in this way would leave with a gutless machine with less power than the factory NA's due to differences in compression, diff ratio etc.

If you're worried about the turbo's giving up, I'd suggest keep searching.

basically because the car is a twin turbo
it naturally has a far lower compresion i think around 140
as apposed to 190 or something like that.
but basically if u make it a non turbo its gona be a pig unless your willing to
pay a bit more to make the n/a go ok....in which case you could probs fix the tt
=] could be lots of things. ask when the last rebuild was and when the last turbo recondition was

hey guys thanks for the advice so theres possiably really nothing bad with the turbo (only 1 turbo blows smoke at boot) and fixing the turbo would probly be cheaper, the guy wants 7K for the car personaly i think hes asking to much for it

the reason y i would want to take out the turbos it im a p plater and probly cant drive a car with a turbo, i understand what ur sayin so basically thaking out the turbos would wreck the cars performance

so buy an n/a like you are supposed to,these laws are in for a reason,so you can learn to walk before you run
Like the others have said, making a t/t an n/a is just plain dumb
You will also not be able to insure it as it will still be a t/t as far as the authorities are concerned

7 grand is pretty cheap dude, depending on condition of the rest of the car.. everyone wants something for nothing these days

not another 1 of these idiotic TT->NA conversions. it get's asked much too often and the answer is NO.

doesn't matter if you take the turbos off, as far as the traffic dept is concerned it's still a turbo car. To make it a legit NA u will need to get your TT->NA mod engineered and then it's legal and that costs $.

oh and once you're off P's and you decide to put the turbos back on, you will need to pay for it to be 're-engineered' as a legit turbo car.

$7k is too much for a TT these days? if you think that's too much then how did you plan on paying for the conversions and getting it engineered? *shakes head*

oh btw grow some patience and wait.

    stab stabbity stab stab...

check mine out, i'm moving soon so i will be doing a full 100k service and a plenum pull before i leave.

N/A's are fun, they have low end power and are prob one of the best value cars on the road for a P plater.
forget about a tt for now, you cant drive it... keep searching, you will know when you find the right zed.

theres heaps of great zeds for sale atm, i was looking at one a few weeks ago from this forum... great service history, coilover suspension, straight body condition and it was only $7000.

    good luck in the search.

One has a clutch, the other dosn't ;)

On more serious note, there is a hell of a lot of a difference, but that depends on the driver. It all comes down to what you want in the end but.
