Just wondering about the majority of preference of interior materials. Velour Leather Tweed or Suede Doesn't matter what the reason for it being your favourite. Be it feel, look or <Insert 3rd reason for favouring one material over another here> Obviously I'm considering getting my interior done, don't know when though Personally I'd say it's an interesting poll
Yay first vote goes to me! I like suede... Tweed is tacky, Leather is sweaty, Velour is 2nd best to Suede.
dude its a sat night. you should not be on the forums cheering yourself on by voting in a topic on interior choices but suede is good
Lol ssshhhh! Anyway, why are you here suggesting such things on a Saturday night in an interior thread eh???? Glad we agree on suede though. SUEDE FTW!
Yeah I'm all about the leather, but for practicality without too much of a tradeoff for looks it'd be suede all the way (I voted for leather though, looks way too awesome ;D)
Leather is great IF you have the worlds best Aircon, its sweaty and disgusting otherwise. Suede or Alcantra.
Suede is good because it is so easy to keep clean. A bit of foaming interior cleaner can get greasy finger stains out in a few seconds.
I've had leather, i've had tweed and i've now got Velour. Velour FTW. :zlove: I'm not sure why people would even consider leather FTW..? It really is shit. Cold in winter, hot and sweatty in summer and poor accoustics with a good stereo. I'd say Suede would come a close second
Personally i'd say Velour FTW because leather as we know is cold in winter hot in summer and suede is good but it its always gets the marks on it from whenever u touch it.
leather is the bomb yes it is kinda gay in the summer but ehe worth it, I want to get my mates STI seats that have been retrimed in leather zomg hotest seats goin.
Leather Pics Hot in summer? Come on people, it's called "climate control"... Sucks to those with no aircon Couple of pics of the leather retrim
There are completely different uses to different parts of the interior so it should not all be the same. Seats you sit on, trim on doors and panels need to be pretty to look at and take a little bit of abuse. Floor takes a lot of abuse. For seats leather, velour or a combo 'half leather' with velour in the middle like in newer cars. Absence of leather means 'cheap' Rest of the trim a velour like material - color matching is most important. Vinyl looks cheap. Leather is overdoing it. Tweed is horrible, vinyl is OK for the back of the seats but nowhere else. Suede always looks dirty. Leatherette drops the value of the car by $1K in my mind.
Tweed feckin' rocks. Name me another car that has tweed ON THE MOTHERFRACKEN' DASH! (180SX doesn't count)
