my zed at Titanic Quarter Belfast

    zed at Titanic Quarter Belfast yesterday first day this year with targas of

    the SS Nomadic it ferred pasengers to the Titanic

    Sorry, not trying to be a smartarse but I think you'll find that this is HMS Caroline, a light cruiser built in 1914 and which fought in the Battle of Jutland in 1916.
    SS Nomadic does still exist, when last I heard of her she was in Paris, but she looks a little like a very large ferry rather than a 3-funneled warship as she was a luxurious tender which carried passengers out to the ocean liners (inc Titanic) at harbours where they were too large to be moored at a dock.

    SS Nomadic is in Belfast docks but you are right I think I must of taken a pick of the wrong ship :confused: as it was in Titanic Quater I took it for the SS Nomadic but I was wrong the Nomadic is much smaller sorry for the confusion and thanks for putting me right

    I love historic ships, and it's great to hear the SS Nomadic is back in Belfast. I must visit Belfast when next in Europe. I looked up the website for the Titanic Quarter and it looks really interesting.

    The Titanic Quater is just starting to take shape and is a great area to vist.The pick is of the dry dock were Titanic and lots of other ships were built and the building to the right is the old pump house
