I'am very easy going about how i get paid when someone trys to rip me off.I tell them it's cash or blood and until they pay it's hunting season.I have only had to resort to the blood option once,and i still got the cash.

I would either contact a lawyer, and see what they say, or go and buy some brake fluid, find the parents car and well the rest you can figure out. sorry dude,all the defendant has to do is ask for an analysis and it goes no further (in minor crimes) for the reasons i have already indicated(unless of course it is regarded as a serious crime which vandalism is not) ,forget what you learn in make believe legal studies lol,,this is real life Show me a precedant where mobile phone footage has been successfully used in a prosecution of a minor crime when its been contested and ill eat my hat

+1 for brake fluid! one bottle for each car, stab a whole in the bottom and sit it on the roof (dont forget to wipe clean an where gloves) then find any paint covered surface and f*ck it over with more then enough brake fluid. seriously though, go and see a solicitor. theres no way they will get out of it if you have evidence.... forget about the age thing, shouldnt change a thing.

Why would it go no further if they ask for an Analysis? Camera phones are perfect for evidence because due to the grainy resolution, they are EXTREMELY hard to edit, not to mention editing videos to begin with is hard enough. Also i myself can do an extremely simple analysis which tells you how it was made, date made, and date edited. These can NOT be faked or re-produced, and it takes no more than 5 minutes. BTW, for vandalism, they absolutely WILL do it; did you know that there are $1,000 rewards out to people who rat out their friends who vandalize? Did you know that on top of their sentences and on top of re-paying the damage they caused, Vandals are fined upwards of $10,000? Australia is EXTREMELY hard on vandals and they should be; did you know at the end of last year an 18 y/o girl was given a 6 month jail sentence for writing her name on the wall of a restaurant? //Edit: i do not know of specific instances, but i know that everyday camera phone footage it used to catch street racers and speeders and hoons and underage drinkers even. The law was passed several years ago; before that they would not accept video footage, then they changed it since they had their fast and reliable way of analyzing the videos.

Go and see a Solicitor, they should give you advice on what you CAN do! And the parents are RESPONSIBLE! no matter how "derrish" they may be. Parents are responsible for "Minors". The parents will have to pay up, even if it means taking them to court, and the Sheriff has to reposses their assests whatever they may have to compensate you for your losses. You DO HAVE THE LAW ON YOUR SIDE!!!! Dont ignore this or take the law into your own hands. Contact a solicitor and if you can, get the Police Officers names as well. You do have rights! and these morons are not allowed to get away with it! Best with it all. Stu
everyone says take them to court, but in reality, court is bullshit for stuff like this, imo, if u no them personally, let it sit for a few weeks, dont act quick or they will no it was u, tip paint or paint thinners on there car. or. kick the **** out of them and take there wallet, break a finger or 2, so when they look at that broken finger, they will remember that it happened for being drunk idiots.

piss easy to edit BUT, you have a point.. the footage IS often grainy, which will make it harder to use as evidence ie when looking at original phone footage, ever found yourself thinking "wtf am i looking at?" The courts will say the same
Too true... you don't take your car to parties where the kids arent old enough to buy their own drinks.. Actually i dont take my car to parties full stop... Let alone leave it outside over night. The fact you went there, drank yourself stupid and passed out doesnt really leave me a whole lot of sympathy for you. However i feel bad for the car that its owner had that much disregard.
