hey guys my 100k service is coming up due, just wondering whats the best option for getting the 100k service kit these days? is it cheapest to order it in from the states somewhere or can it be sourced locally (melbourne preferably) for a reasonable price? my z is a 97 2 seater NA.. cheers
+1 for Caz She is very friendly with good prices. Labour cost = $0 if you do it in your own garage Otherwise I had quotes of about $1500 before deciding to do it myself.
unfortunately doing it myself is not really an option at the moment no space, time or tools ill have to start doing some calling around, if anyone has any recommendations for places in melb i'm all ears !!
you'll find most places say 89-96 96 onwards i think were only special editions hence aren't counted in the ??-?? area (thats my logic and several mechanics logics)
still looking into it.. i dont think there are any *major* differences though. i always thought most places said 89-96 because all regions except japan stopped releasing them in 96. US sites almost always say "89-96" for the years that car was released. but yer this is just speculation, and when i see 89-96 i get worried because there are some differences. For e.g. the software to talk to the ECU is slightly different for the series 3 (97 onwards) Z's
Bion1c mate, havent seen you online in almost 2 years. Always loved your car mate, the only 97 model in vic i know of. Pitty you stopped coming out to events mate, really wanted to see your zed again. If you need part numbers shoot me a pm ill check any part on nissan fast and get you numbers if you need them.

Good mate, of course i remember you, your first ever cruise was my western coastal cruise back in 2007 and the fact you've got a 97 model zed, its hard not too remember. For me, been working on a 2000spec project which your 97 model would present alot of interesting answers and questions i am researching on the later models. Got a tech day and the GOR coming up in vic. Might be good to meet up with some of the members and get some perspectives on the 100k service's from their experiences.
cool.. what are you doing exactly with the 200spec project? updating with all the 2000 spec parts? dont spose you have a line on some (quality) cheap 2000 spec side skirts? if i can help with any info on later z's im happy to.. drop me a pm yer might not be a bad idea.. im thrashing out the details with Tektrader on the 100k service, so hopefully should get that sorted in the next couple of weeks :zlove:
