Have you sold / swapped your Z for something?

Yeah, all these small easy maintenance cars, was just making a point that I can see why someone would want to sell their zed to buy something that was perhaps more practical in either a daily driver or purpose built track car sense. Don't worry I'd never turn to the dark side and buy an S13 over a Z lol However AW11 MR2's have me interested, especially the supercharged ones, I reckon they'd be a great little weekend toy to take up to the hills with... Bar that snap oversteer thing that happens.. Lol.

 

k this is odd, my new fav color for an r32 gtr is white, if i ever get one its gonna have to be white, with a black front lip, and possibly black rims.

hmmmm...damnit...so hard to chooose, i just went through some of the picture threads on here and the z's are so nice..but a gtr...is ... i dunno, its a GTR!!!!

 

the Z looks a lot nicer than the GTR, and without a torque split controller the GTR doesn't generate much more grip than the Z but for out and out performance the GTR whoops the Z. I would love an R32 or R34 GTR but I'm still sold on the idea of my 4.5L 300zx. I could have picked up my mates R32 GTR with enough mods to support 400kw@wheels pretty cheap but couldn't justify 2 semi-street/track weapons

 

I'm pretty set to swap the Z at the drop of a hat. As long as its something nice...along the way of an Evo....but also lately grown to like the Toyota Aristo's...nice big 4-door family car with a 1JZ up front, practical enough to do anything really.

 

Oh yeah! 4AGZE bottom end, 20 valve head with the ITB's, nice little disco potato and you have an absolute WEAPON!

Have tossed this idea around a few times before starting on the V8, getting hard to get a tidy AW11 for a decent price these days though

 

the zeds a lemon lol, im about to go to tafe and won't be able to afford the costs, and i also want to get back into doing light drifting at archifield (drifting track). When i have a decent job i'll be getting a black 2 seater zed (depending on petrol costs of course)

 

A Nissan car is a Nissan car. Your being rather picky to choose a gtr over a z, and i would miss the targa tops the most. 4wd is i tad overrated, its good but its not essential if you know what i mean. I would miss smoking second gear.

 

Crap I never knew the 20v head was compatible with the 16v block. Sweet!
I have a mate with a AE86 Trueno Apex, insane little cars, so light and chuckable. His has the 4.7:1 TRD diff in it too, pulls like crazy in 1st and sits at 3500rpm in 5th at 100km/hr lol!

just over 4 years ago i swapped my 1999 vt commie for my 1990 ausspec z... the vt now is probably worth 3-4k at best and some one offered me 12k for my aussie spec the other month... not bad.

at least our beloved 300zx looks fast even standing still. i cant say that about the gtr, then again thats only my opinion. great car but not a patch on the z as a head turner, if your in a good example of the 300 that is. cheers bigmax
