Had fun this morning pulling the top half of 2 drivers seats.

One is to be repaired with cloth from the other on the usual hip section.

What would I expect to pay and who ?

Also I'm going to need some hog rings and pliers to suit, anyone know where ?

Can't help with an upholsterer, but there is a fencing product which is exactly the same as the hog rings and there are pliers to suit. Have a look at a fencing shop or maybe even Bunnings.

its easy enough to do it yourself. take the rings out and use the bolster piece as a template. use cable ties to put it back together instead of the rings.

Now theres a cool idea, cant see why it wouldnt work. Thanks for the tip :)

The sewing bit looks a bit to hard since I dont have a sewing machine.

Not all of us have a sewing machine  lol nah just take it down to the auto upholstery place for them to do shouldn't cost much .

pick up the hog rings and pliers while down there .
Should look good when ur finished , post up some pics :zlove:

    Regards

I might give the cable ties a go, the hog rings look like a pain in the arse.

As long as when you open the door there isnt a bloody great foam wound in the seat I will be happy.

Almost forgot, When ur getting the bolster stitched up grab some foam for it guaranteed u will need to repair it otherwise the tweed will be wrecked again from the exposed metal .

... for cable tie usage .. check out the thread from 12 or so months ago where "maxfromaus" (or similar nic) was advertising seat covers ... several members explained how they used cable ties .. all seemed to work pretty well ....
