I was just wondering if anyone can recommend somewhere I could go to get my window fixed With the wet weather lately ive found my window leaks Not sure whether its the seals, or the window actually comes out of its tracks Heres a pic of the problem... And also tried to upload a video but dont know if it worked... I don't think theres a problem with the electrics, it's like it rests ontop of the seals... Another problem I can't really determine The rear left of the hatch makes a weird buzzing sound, and the door open light/cabin light flickers on and off when Im driving, particularly when travelling over bumps Im guessing the connector/wires come loose, but just wondering if anyone else has experienced this kind of problem Anyway any help/advice would be appreciated. I know they're just probably everyday problems but just wanna check the best way to go about it.
James, It looks like your window needs to be adjusted. After taking the door trim off, there are adjustment screws in the window mechanism to change the tilt of the glass. It looks like the rear needs to come in a bit to make contact with the seals. Unless, your whole door is warped and that's why it does not make contact with the light switch
Thanks Stef, big help, I will give it a go tomorrow I dont think the two problems are related though, might have to go to an auto electrician for the hatch problem
OK, the window rail has a small piece in it that snaps off. you need to follow the tech guide to replace that bit cause it snaps off from the constant door slamming. That's what mine was anyway, you should be able to see as the window comes away that there's a small pin on top that fits in the groove.
Thanks vbevan you were right, the window rail plastic part fell off How it should be: How mine is: Anyone know where this tech guide is?
Here you go: http://www.pexcom.com/images/Rattling-Window.pdf You need to buy a part from nissan to fix it. Doesn't cost too much, less than $10 from memory.
I think they do http://www.ttzed.com/products/produ...PartID=906&page=1&title=OTHER Parts&do=detail Also http://www.courtesyparts.com/-p-37063.html http://www.conceptzperformance.com/...r_Type=NIS300&UID=20081215200138120.16.128.62
That's it. Try your Nissan dealer first. It is probably about the same and saves you mucking around if it is.
