It cranks over but wont run at all so what do you guys think ? Blow ignition fuse ? Fuel pump ? FPCU ? PTU ? Would it be worth bypasing the fpcu or something ? Can anyone be of any help ? Thanks mike Cheers mike
nar man her bat still produces enuff current to crank over. But thanks man anyone else know ? cheers mike
wat he said my ptu is farked and car will only start wen cold, more info is needed! dose her fuel pump brime? is it getting spark? i had a similar problem along time ago car spluttered then turned off,,waited 10mins and it was fine, i think that was signs off the ptu failing but i duno
Try PTU Nissans questionable electrics , I have changed out two ptu's You could try yours in her car ?
Listen to injectors with screwdriver while cranking. Smell for fuel from exhaust Jiggle PTU connector, then check for spark by removing a coilpack and plug
That has no effect on the engine actually working... Mine still starts with no alternator, air con, PS, water pump, AFM, CTS and other stuff.
broken timing belt wont stop engine from cranking unless the pistons have hit valves. pull the cam cover off and crank the engine to see if the cams turn. if they dont then your timing belt is snapped.
fortunately you are not 100% correct. Pistons MAY hit the valves. I know this because when I bought my Z it had a snapped timing belt and pistons had not made contact with the valves. the engine freely turned over by hand. I was very lucky. It all depends upon the position of the cams / crank when the belt snaps
