it does look interesting.. but its that argument of "is it worth it". imo a 12% gain in HP to me would require a re-map.

looks like another scam i guess. i guess it could improve fuel economy???

Absolutely worthless mate. These types of products have been around for ages and they have been disproved many times. For an electric fan to provide any noticeable difference in performance, it would need to be more powerful than your cars electrical system could cope with.
Be happy with what you have for now. The performance of an NA is quite good considering it's only a 3 litre engine.
(Fit rant about waiting until member gets off his P's and can buy a TT zed here)

    Cheers,
    Dave

Theres no difference in the litres between a NA or a TT, theyre the same - so i'm not sure where youre coming from? are you saying NA's have a less litreage? than a TT.
I also dont get what is wrong with the performance of an NA? Mines beautiful as..... Atm, i have no interest in getting a TT....

Of course I'm not suggesting a TT has a different sized engine from an NA. I was of course suggesting than rather waste hard earned dollars on products resembling "snake oil" to attempt to get a performance gain, that God_Man will be better advised to wait until he's off his P's and buy a TT. Every Zed owner knows that a lot of money needs to be put into an NA for it to get close to the performance of the TT. (Flame suit on).
If you're happy with your NA, that's great and I'm happy for you. I probably would have been happy with one as well, but knowing there was a TT model, I just had to get the more powerful one. I'm glad I did :)

I totally agree(coming from an NA owner btw) these sort of things would be close to useless 12% gain...yeah right...

Thats cool, i've had a rough day.... If i want ride in a TT i'll just pinch Heavytrevys for a bit lol.... for me, i'd only need the turbos, intercoolers and piping and an ECU swap... lol, i'll get that from heavytrevy when he upgrades his :p but thats a while off coz i'm really enjoying my NA's performance atm...

    red32 You talkin' to me?

I like the disclaimer at the bottom of the comparison page:
For $500 I'd get a set of headers (in fact, I did) for a guaranteed 10% power increase (21hp (NA 225hp from the factory)), rather than a 'possible' 12% (24hp). TTZed has a special on NA headers at the moment.

And Turtle, I think that Ozphoto was trying to say that, for a 3.0L ambient air breather pulling 1500kg, the NA Zed performs quite well.
I would say: Probably better than most other similar set-ups.
