sorry i know it has been discussed several, but i still have some question not really sure.

    ok, have a summary first:

    Z32 pre 92" NA 280mm x280mmx26mm , 12mm bolts
    all other z32 280mm x280mm x30mm, 12mm bolts

    R32 GTR 296mmx296mmx32mm ,12mm bolts
R32 V-spec GTR 324mmx324mmx30mm, 12mm bolts (presumably bigger caliper, so not fit under stockies, 17" wheel min required)

    R33 GTR brembo 324mm x 324mmx30mm, 12mm bolts (big caliper, 17" wheel min required)

R34 GTR brembo 324mmx324mmx30mm, 14mm bolts (big caliper, 17" wheel min required)

350z track model brembo 324mmx324mmx30mm, 14mm bolts (big caliper, 17" wheel min required)

The difference between the 350Z rotors and the R33GTR or Z32 rotors is in what they call 'Original Height'. Depth from the outside face of the rotor to the outside face of the hat.
    Z32 & R33 GTR rotors are 54mm, the track 350Z is 49mm, (10/05 on with 17" wheels is 49.7mm & touring 49.2mm) (source from Caz1)

the above infos are from this forum.

    below infos are from http://www.sunburybrakes.com.au/category3_2.htm
    R32T, R33 , R33 GTS 4wd (so all r33 pre 93") 280mmx280mm x26mm , 12mm bolts(presumably)

    R33 GTST (93" on) 296mmx296mmx30mm, 12mm blots(presumably)

find a pic on net [IMG]

SO, if you want to upgrade to 324mm rotor with stock z32 tt caliper,
the combination is z32tt caliper+ adaptor (can buy from caz or other Z store) + 324mmx324mmx30mm rotor( e.g. 350z track rotor)

AND pre92" NA caliper and pre93" R33 non GTR caliper will not do this trick.

if you want Brembo, R33 GTR is the way to go, bolt straight on!
R34 and 350z track model need redrill.

please correct me i m wrong.

    QUESTIONS:

    Q1: can i use R32 GTR caliper or R33GTST caliper (296mm,30mm) + adaptor on 324mmx324mmx30mm rotor?

Q2: z32tt caliper with adaptor, must the upgraded rotor exactly be 324mmx324mmx30mm rotor?
for example, can i use 330mmx330mmx30mm rotor? or 320mmx320mmx30mm, even 310mmx310mmx30mm rotor?

Q3: any adaptor on the market for z32 using R34 GTR/350z brembo caliper?

Q4: probably is dump Q, any alternative bigger rotors for z32? (same PCD, similar offset but different hat height, such as other japenese car, ford, etc)

    Q2:

you could, but it would be dodgy, just buy the proper rotor.

    Q3:

Not needed, same deal as the R33 GTR's, bolt patterns are the same as the Z, just use a bigger rotor. You need to drill out the holes in the mounting on the hub for them to fit though.

Not sure on the other two Q's.

haha, you don't need to tell us a rotor is 324x324 etc. etc.

obviously if it's 324mm across it's going to be 324mm up and down :p

    you missed the R35 specs???

haha, just in case they are not round :p

    R35 standard brake dimension: front brembo 6 pot 380mm x380mm x34mm, rear brembo 4pot 380mm x 380mm x34mm
400mm aftermarket rotor available already, 400mm~16"=our stockies!
but they cost USD$2000 a pair

and you may find an adaptor for r32-r34 in japan.

so can anyone answer Q1 and Q4?

Q5: another dump question, can a 69mm diameter center hole rotor fit z32? yes z32 is 68mm, 1mm different only. same pcd, similar hat depth, but bigger rotor size

Q1 yes, the Project Mu adapter kit was actually designed to use the R32 Caliper and i've done my own (previously) based on this same adapter for around a 100 Zeds.
Q4,Yes, company here in the UK do bigger kits for most Nissan's, most common being a 345mm kit, consisting of Rotors, adapters and bigger pads for use with stock caliper.
    Hope that helps.

Good to see someone has the answers for you below :)

    Or above depending on perspective.

blue32zx had the 324 with the adapters on.. i bought his calipers off him with the pads still in them and the pad actually overlapped the edge of the rotor... like there was about 5mm of pad that does touch the rotor... ???

meaning with the adapters it would be better to use 330s then 324s

haha, even you have 34mm caliper but i think 400mm rotor + 34mm caliper you need at least 19" wheel.
so still not fit your Z lol

i m searching 330mm rotor too, but in standard catalog DBA and RDA only supply 324mm rotor.

an alternative option is EVO X 350mmx32mm rotor, 69mm center hole diameter (which is 1mm wider than our car, only 1mm, should be ok?)
if stock z caliper + adaptor fit on 330mm, then r32 gtr caliper (296mmx32mm) + adaptor may fit on 350mm rotor.
    any thought?

No, if you want real big brakes splash out on a set of D2's or whatever they are. 8 piston calipers, big rotors and new lines for around $2k, bit of a bargain really.

    it is.

    but No! maximum $700! :x

  16. BLACK BEAST

    BLACK BEAST SLICKTOP TT R-SPEC

You now have the adaptors ...just go to DBA and get a set of 324mm slotted rotors (DBA4000)..to suit z32 ...(from memory under$500)
AND also matching slotted rears...if/when you can afford it
throw in decent pads and your set

Thats what I was going to do ...until I saw STOPTECH 355MM front and back..lol

but STOPTECH 355mm brake kits cost $3270.........mate!

Why are you after such large brakes for a NA? Surely the 324's are enough?

    shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! bigger = nicer :p

more importantly, last time i drove up the hill, i felt the stock brake was not strong enough. dont know how to describe, like "floating" :/

Well you where using your brakes while driving up a hill, there's you're problem :p

Try getting some good pads, braided lines and new brake fluid.

How big are your wheels? I have the GTR Brembo's and they only just clear 17's, like 3mm clearance. Great brakes though
