Run another 12 flat (12.072) at WSID tonight, with another I.598 60 footer. Not quite as quick as last time, but almost there, Picked up on a couple of points thanks to Ports and JP that i will take back next week for another crack at that elusive 11 sec run. If it dosen't happen next week , thats it i'm retired. Only thing i improved on was the MPH, now at 119.73. Ports was out there flying the Zed flag, keeping me company, had a couple of runs with him, think he improved his ET. Thanks to Caz, Angry bear, Oni, Unique Zed, Vanastis and Asher for their support tonight, always makes you try that little bit harder when you have the gang there. Oni has a couple of top pics to post up. Stay tuned for next week.
SO CLOSE Getting Close Ron, Stick with it, have a shot of caffeine before hand maybe So the Java makes you jump when you see the amber turn off instead of the green turning on YOUR SO CLOSE! Fate
new PB........ RT: 0.911 60': 1.878 MPH: 108.56 ET: 12.812 Happy enough, but definately not satisfied as theres plenty of improvement left in all disciplines. Great to see everyone again (Asher where have you been?) and it sures makes these nights more enjoyable.:zlove: Wizard and I did our best run on our last, which we paired up, but Wizards RT was 0.7 secs quicker than mine, so I didn't get the visual on the distance that 0.8 of a sec difference makes across the line. Wiz is about 1/2 a car length from the elusive 11 second pass and I'm certain that he will find the time next outing.
next time... don't stop at maccas on the way to the drags.. and take a really big dump before you race
DAMMM dont give up wiz, if you dont succeed next week keep doing it untill you get it... just so close you cant give up on that :zlove: the 60ft time is very niceeee
Port did you get this time with your new engine mate? Nice work And Ron....mateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee lol Keep bragging about the 60ft time until you get your 11sec haha Nice work
Chuck your passenger seat and spare wheel and all the other non essential bits in the car. Worth it...
Already done that Chrispy Along with anything else that is not needed. We were even discussing shedding all our clothes and throwing out the helmet half way down the strip to lose some more weight. Have to rename the team "seymour Butts"racing team.:biggrin::biggrin:
great stuff, wiz and ports ... really admire what you guys are achieving .... brilliant .... good luck for next week, guys ...:zlove::zlove:
Wiz did exceptional last night , so close yet so far I wouldn't change your Signature yet Wiz, as next week you will take it easy if not forcibly for that 11 sec pass. (get ready to put 11's on your sig) Wizard & Ports, thanx for the show, it was a fantastic night. Excellent run's Noted: can't wait to see Oni's pics, Wizard going Nuts doing Burnout before drag, "Couldn't see anything after his burnout " A big thanks to Caz1 for taking me up there to see what it is all about, and i can say WOW, should have gone ages ago, soon it will be my turn on the strip. Was good to see everyone again included being introduced to Asha & Angry Bear. All in all a fantastic night. can't wait until next Wednesday. fingers crossed for ya Wiz -Bill
good stuff guys! Wiz, did u have street tyres/slicks/semi slicks on? just normal 98ron? Any goodies such as happy gas? Or just the 330rwkw at its best in street trim mode? Use lighter wheels maybe? take out pasanger seat? lol ;D
Hey Ali thanks mate, this engine has been in the bay since August '06 and I'm already on my second, no third clutch and second flywheel, second set of engine mounts, spark plugs x2, but the motor hasn't missed a beat (crosses fingers and touches wood).
Ice man Pump gas 98, no nos, running about 310rwkw, Micky Thompson street et's and lightened the load. Next week i'm going back with one of these, reckon its just what i need to get into the 11's.
