Sooo i have had this annoying squeak in my car since i bought it like 8 months ago, its at the front end thought it was the hood bump rubbers, but replaced those and adjusted accordingly. I'm wondering if its the from bushes needing an oil or if my suspensions shot.. any ideas?
i got squeeks too.. i found out mine was just power steering fluid... i need to top it up every week.. and then i get no squeeks...
I had a squeak coming from the front... and it wasn't the bonnet rubbers. I narrowed it down to the bonnet latch, so I sprayed it with some silicon spray. No more squeaking.
Try putting a little grease on your bonnet latch mechanism and the striker itself. My car occasionally develops a front end squeak and greasing up those bits eliminates it completely. Hope that helps.
Yeah i tried that I think its gotta be suspension, jacking the car up with the hood up still squeaks... so yeah.
Check the condition of the castor rod bushes... Does it squeak when you bounce the car above the strut (by hand)? Hard to help, as it could be a number of things. You need to try and narrow down what section of the car is squeaking.
Well to be exact. Its within the wheel area. So its either suspension or bushes... was just wondering if anyone had the same problem and a quick fix.
I had the same thing and it annoyed the shit out of me. I replaced the front upper control arms and the squeak was gone. Ill put my money on that.
My 'squeak' is rear suspension related........ Its the seals on my shockers that squeak constantly I got used to it...... eventually ! :zlove:
Ok I have the same problem, front left suspension, im not sure if its the suspension or what, might be the wishbone or something, if I jack it up slowly the squeek keeps happening as I jack it up, until the wheel is off the ground.... must be a bush or something!!! I WILL FIND YOU SQUEEK!
Every mechanic i ask says its the bushes, one question... how the **** do i get to it to grease the monkey up....?
I still say its the control arms. Save yourself all this trouble and replace them with aftermarket ones. It will improve your handling and get rid of the squeak. It took me forever to narrow my squeak down to that. Took the car to several places but no one knew what it was. I think they cost around $250 for a pair and shouldnt take a mechanic more than a couple of hours to put em on.
.. hmm.. mine did... stopped randomly one day but .. my mate had a squek in his torana.. turned out to be a mouse.
