I had a problem with the connector on the crank angle sensor that was loose and the car stopping sometimes, but when I finally figured out it was a loose connector causing the problem, I now have a hesitation problem.
I had a bit of a look around the area where I was playing with the connector I found a piece of vacuum hose coming up from the bottom of the engine between the intercooler pipes thats not connected at the other end? I also noticed on the throttle body??? that theres a vacuum outlet that doesn't have a hose on it. And if i start the car up i can feel suction on the outlet when i rev it.I would simply connect them up but the hose isnt quite long enough. See pictures below, any help would be greatly appreciated.

This second photo shows where the line goes down into the bowels of the zed.

    It looks like

the vacuum line to the carbon canister! The CC holds and recycles fuel vapours from tank. When the manifold is under vacuum, that line opens a valve in the top off the CC, the vapours inside are drawn into the manifold for a re-burn. If you follow the broken hose further down, you should find that it connects to a metal pipe, if that?s the case, you can remove the broken hose from the pipe, and replace it with 4mm Vac hose back to the nipple under the throttle body.

Thanks guys. I figured it was too much of a coincidence for the two to be unrelated, but the tube just didnt look like it had been connected to anything recently.
Will the disconnected hose be whats causing the hesitation or do you reckon its more likely related to the wiring harness connector at the crank angle sensor being loose?
