Im a little confused with what i need to do if i get a new radiator, mines got a few little leaks on it and the lips where the hoses go are now non existant, so i want to get a alloy rad, probably one of those ebay ones for 280$'ish

anyway, i can only find the manual alloy rads. i was under the impression that the stock tt auto rads had the oil cooler built into the rad for the tranny? but i see this thing at the front that might be it, so is this my tranny cooler? and is it stock? and if i get a manual alloy rad can i just leave the tranny cooler exactly where it is?

my car is an auto btw..

    anyway, pics.

There is a guide in the Tech section. Look in the A-Z

section and navigate to Transmission and then find the article on installing an external oil cooler.

Or, do as I did. I had a PWR cooler supplied and fitted for $150 when I had the tranny serviced last time.
