    When was the last time you changed the spark plugs? Could be that, I had a similar problem and was fixed by changing spark plugs. Also do a search for idle issues there has been heaps covered before. Maybe even run conzult to check for any error codes and all sensors.

    I'm with Pete, PTU or PTU connectors. Also check and adjust the TPS and probably clean all your connectors.

    TPS = Throttle Position Sensor

    little black box on the side of the throttle body on the passengers side inlet.

    It should have an electrial value when checked with a multimeter (~.45) do a search for more info on how to check and set the TPS ;)

    you also said ......
    Like as in a re-start or are you just 'jiggling' the key in the ignition barrel and not turning it to the full "start" position ?

    May have issues with a worn contact in the ignition barrel if your just jiggling the key to make it all happy again.

    Does the starter motor engage when you do this "key turn" thingy ??
