If the car was left unlocked, then any idiot could of stolen it *punk kids*. If the car was locked only then a brute force criminal busted into it and hotwired it and drove off *joy riders*. If the car had an alarm and was stolen, then it would be an entirely different case for the police to follow because that indicates a much more professional thief *chop shops*. Being locked on the street obviously poses a higher risk than parked in a garage or on your own property. Should I go on?
How is it relevant to us is the better question. Are YOU a police officer... I'm certainly not. Nor do I have the underground associations to go hmm it wasn't alarmed therefore it was probably Bill, Jack, or Jill because they are the opportunistic thieves in the area. You believe the cops are going to ask these questions, let them ask. They are largely redundant for our purposes and only seem to suggest that you are partly blaming this poor guy for the loss of his own property, regardless of whether that was your intention, it's adding insult to injury. All that was asked was to keep an eye out, and we did.
Shit I dont know, maybe if people are keeping a look out for the car then it might be useful information to know the circumstances behind how it went missing!!!!! FFS Sorry about your car dude. The dolt above me doesn't know shit from shoe polish, I'm in no way blaming you for your car being stolen and I hope it's returned safely.
of course its relevant to us , if we know what security measures were in place then the rest of us brisbane zedders might be able to prevent this happening to us
I didnt even think of that aspect of it, but yes very good point. Some people just like to start shit with me because they have nothing better to do. Really sucks to hear that man! Brings me back to my earlier post, damn joy riding assholes. I hope the insurance covers everything... Good looking out from wheelie too, top bloke.
thats so sad to hear man!! were you insured? i lost a 93 model r32 skyline lim edition end of production released with rb25det, and wasnt insured back in 2003/4, its the worst feeling, was smashed up and destroyed on my front lawn, been hoping i could figure out who would have done such a thing, but so many nasty f'wits out there any way best in luck in regathering whatever you can from the situation!
a very sad outcome for a very nice black zed .... .. our sympathies go out to you .. cannot imagine the pain you must be feeling ... one can only hope the perpetrators are caught and put away for a good stretch .... .. and another big thumbs up for the fine efforts of WHEELIE .. well done ...
yeh damn strait. big effort by wheelie, when my car got smashed up, people seen stuff, but because i was a young guy with a turbo import and always had mod'd cars coming around to mine, every one in the street who was questioned seemed to want to suggest to the police that i was a drug dealer and what not :/
Sorry about the car man. ___ I just imagine how heartbroken i'd be if my bike got napped and how glad i'd be if a stranger helped me get it back. _ Already checked mate, nothing at all. Filled up at a pump not covered by cctv and i couldn't even see them entering or leaving the field of view of another camera.
Bad luck mate, How can someone be so low as to do that.... FILTHY SWINE.... Did you have insurance, or an immobiliser or anything? Just wondering as i want to know how safe mine is :S
I'm sorry to hear about it as well. It was quite close to home for me, as I owned my Zed for at least 2 weeks without an immobiliser or Alarm system. I was constantly paranoid about it getting stolen before spending quite a lot of money on a good system.
I Have one, but I would like help to get it installed. It's one of those things where I'd put it in then never get the car started lol
....... only makes me angry... and to burn it at the end of there pathetic little joyride it was a great looking zed to....
