I have a front mount intercooler, duel air pods, 2 3/4 dual exhaust system, new recon 5 speed manual, boost controller 11psi, dyno tuned.... will 550cc fuel injectors, ecu chip and 13 psi make it ??? currently 220rwkw South Aussie
No. You're gonna need 17-18 psi to have a hope If you searched, you would have found this post: here 300rwkw: Dual Intake Dumps/Catpipes(testpipes)/Exhaust Dual 2.5" or 3" ECU remap Boost controller Intercoolers Lightweight crank pulley Lightweight flywheel Water injection On the cheap: ~$2500 Quality components: ~9k and Advice/Installation/Tuning - Greg & Seb of SpecialtyZ Stock/Original Turbos Stock/Original Engine Nismo 555cc Injectors JWT Dual Intake Stillen Oil Cooler Stillen Lower Radiator Hose Greddy Intercoolers Unorthodox Underdrive Pulley JWT ECU Apexi AVC-R Apexi AFC RPS Max 6 Puck Clutch with lightened flywheel Nismo Roller Bearing replacing the Pilot Bushing Stillen Short-Throw Shifter ACPT Carbon Fiber Drive Shaft Leader 4.10 Differential Gears Nismo Carrier Bushings Specialty Z/Fast Intentions Downpipes Specialty Z/Fast Intentions Testpipe Specialty Z/Fast Intentions X-Pipe Specialty Z/Fast Intentions CF Mufflers 450whp @ 24psi on 104 octane. Hey mate im from S.A what work shop do you go to get your preformance work done ?? Were did you get it dyoned ? thanks mike
There you go mate Sounds like you already have a fair few bolt on's which is a good start. However 300kw is very very hard on stock turbo's. I dont believe anyone in Aus has done it, I think the top was ZX2NV with 272kw before his engine died. Has been done in america though. Could be wrong though. You will need to go far beyond what you have though, and far beyond 13psi. At a minimum you will need a healthy engine, healthy turbos, intercooler upgrade, injectors, intake, full exhaust (dump/test pipes aswell as cat back), clutch, lightweight flywheel/udp, 1-piece driveshaft, good dyno tune, 17+ psi, upgraded cooling system, and a big healthy shot of NOS. I wont go into port/polishing etc because if you're willing to do that you may aswell upgrade your turbo's
i spent 4 Gs at jaustech at holden hill and boostin oz at salisbury can u suggest better priced performance? cheers
I was wrong ZX2NV reached 300.6rwkw before his engine died. The stock turbos become pretty useless if boosted above 18psi.
I usialy go to Adelaide Z cars at hackham but ther more matinence coz I keep braking my Z I think my engine is dead now thanks mike
what are the best turbo's from 300rwkw to 450rwkw? i was told upto 600bhp was ok for stock internals is this true? If so what power output is possible for decent internals up to 5Gs worth of pistonns rings rods springs valves ect
24 psi is the highest I've seen that I remember As for better priced performance, DIY. Plenty of information around here if you SEARCH!!! Huh?
Anything ova 300RWK is gonna be crazy to keep on the ground lol my mech was showing me this Z he built it has over 300RWK and her rekns he can feel the chasy twisting under accelaration
You'll need the fuel injectors, dump pipes, something to alter AFR's (fuel cut defender or apexi S-AFC or similar) and you'll need to push those turbo's past 18-20psi. Even then your engine needs to be in top nick and your probably going to need water injection to cool the charge down. Stock turbo's break the choke line with a good intercooler at 18psi and you just create heat.
With a good IC and dump pipes I'd say the max would be low-mid 20's. Stock turbo's run out at high teens tho as far as efficiency. There is no point pushing them further unless your using water injection to cool the temps.
Cheers Heaps Guys 4 The Help! Ill get some pics together. I had a VL Calais RB25 Turbo with Running gear 28 spline Diff and Exedy Clutch
Figure was taken from the dyno list But I think chili was correct about the NOS shots. I think it may have been 272kw without the happy gas.. 300 with. In other words to answer the original question... it takes ALOT to get there on stockies... just upgrade.
As Andy said, Injectors would require upgrading. Even if it was possible, you'd be so close to the max threashold, it would never be safe.
Yep to clarify 275.6 rwkw with race fuel and power FC stock engine/turbos Dyno proven 300.6 rwkw with a 100 shot of spray with stock ECU and unichip (big hole in map) Estimated 326 ish rwkw running 75 shot with power fc and race fuel. And to clarify further the engine is still okay apart from piston 6 which is at around 80psi due to a lean out caused by a worn stock fuel pump. The spray didnt kill her the shitty old pump did still ran a 1 min 10 at Wakefield with low comp in 6
