All trim pieces are in carbon fiber material pattern as that is all i could find with part numbers, everything i go was 100% geniune nissan with all pieces coming with part numbers:). Unfortunately i cant install these switches yet as the connectors for the old switches are different as u can see from the picurtures. Im looking into a few ways to overcome this by either getting the actual wiring loom part numbers and or making up a wiring loom to suit the new switches.

I didn't know that was another thing they changed on the 2k model.

I want to get new ones as well because like most, the clips end up breaking over time and they move around slightly.

How much do these cost from Japan?

Let us know how you go with the wiring loom...

    Cheers
    Rob. :)

Why not just get new M+F plugs (non genuine) and change both?

    Look hot btw!

cheers thanx guys, the switches cost me $441 AUD delivered from Japan, John from Cresta hooked me up with these. He has already ordered another set for Jinxed after i pmed him the part numbers. You can either pm me personally or ask john to order them for you. I was goig to keep this a secret until my big 2k project thread was started but i just thought the forums should know about these little beauties before they are discontinued by nissan.

As for the loom, well im in luck as a vic member im friends with, has this switches installed on his zed already, which were installed in japan before being imported. im hoping he will let me take off his door trim and see if any part numbers are listed on part attached to the looms. Im also going to look into getting the connectors from wrecked zeds or other nissan vehicles and making a loom up. The biggest problem is that the drivers has 2 separate connectors which i think 1 is for the illumination of the AUTO switch and the other is for the switches themselves. i will keep everyone informed if any updates.

I'd buy a set in a GB. Even if do they cost 1/20 of the price for a complete Zed!

I thought you were going to keep these to yourself lol !!!

I am happy to arrrange more if needed. Would be great to get the genuine looms though, let me know if you can get the numbers on those and we'll look into doing a GB.

These really are a nice bit of gear and if I still had my Z, I doubt Adam would have even got them - I would have put em on mine lol.:p

Jinxed has a set on order too I am too late to order more for this shipment but its no drama to get more.

    Cheers
    John

    DJ,

are these are the same or similar

If so it appears this company have the wiring looms to accomodate the changes, like these

The cost of the looms appears to be 9,000 yen which is about $90. Their price for the switches and finishers appears much cheaper also. Hope this is of some help.

    Here's a novel idea;

Even though 99spec zeds can't be registered, they CAN be imported as "track" cars, right?

Find a cheap one in Japan (provided they ARE cheap in Japan), import it, swap EVERYTHING over to your zed! :D

    Cheers,

that's a bit sacrilegious, i wouldn't do that to a real 2k spec by transplanting everything. i might consider moving to japan, buy a mint 2k zed, own and live there for a year and bring it back. bit of an effort but oh so worth it.

    That is SOOOOO

much cheaper than I got them for.

Oh hang on Tony...... it says these prices are only reference and also, there is a member on here that has been trying to contact this company and having no luck at all. I wonder how old the page is???

It would make me angry to think that my parts (bought direct from Japan dealership) can be bought so much cheaper through a parts distributor. Worth a look but I doubt you will get anywhere with these guys.:)

By all means, let us know if you have a break through.
    Cheers

Yes they are the same the only difference is those ones u posted are modified ones. I know about the loom they have but that shop, z32-zone dont ship overseas and when funkysi got his double din center console part he had to organise a guy in japan to get it for him frm that shop. my uk contact is going to see if he can get it the same way but its unknown atm. ive also noticed the switches from the site dont have the extra connector on the drivers switch, so im unsure if the loom would even work.

The main reason i posted this up was becuase i did it for the forum and for the members. As these switches have never been seen on the forums before i felt that i had to tell all the members who wanted these things as much as i did, the information they needed to get the these parts for their own projects. I was going to hold this information and surprise everyone in the future along with other things but i was worried that the parts might get discontinued and i didnt want to deprive a fellow zed member from getting these.

As far as the cost on that site john, i dunno but i know one thing their part numbers arnt 100% correct the numbers i gave u indicted the opposite part numbers for the switches and i used the numbers for the trim pieces from an actual pair mitchov has on his car. Im going to organise with him to have a closer look at what he has and report back here.

Z32-zone do ship overseas. But do what I did and use a middleman. Costs are marginal, but it takes the hassle out of doing it. I bought my 2din fascia from Z32-zone.
