Damaged 2 Seater Manual TT $3,900

I bought this car for an auto/manual conversion. Being a complete car, it made more sense than buying an undrivable half cut for the $3,500 that seemed to be the going rate. I have since bought another manual Zed, so the conversion isn't going to happen now.

The car has some front end damage (predominantly rhs) as you can see and, except for the cargo cover and targa shades, it is complete. The stereo has a "doof doof" cd in it as well :D It doesn't look like too hard a repair if someone wanted to get it back on the road.

Despite the front end damage, radiator, hoses, sidemounts, etc were not dislodged and it remains drivable. The one time we drove it on the road the motor was strong and the gearbox smooth. Now the engine is running extremely rich when I start it to move it about. I haven't tried to track that down so far, but the missing retaining clip on the filthy AFM connector might be part of it.

It is completely stock except for the Kakimoto single pipe exhaust system (a bit of noise to go with the "doof doof" I guess).

It shows 77000 on the odometer (read into that what you will) and the leather seats are in poor shape (I understand the seats are not the originals). It also has Skyline wheels as you can see (I can't explain that either ).

The front brake assemblies come with it, but they are currently on loan to Jas (ZX2NV).

For an extra $450, I can throw in a new Exedy Sports Tuff Heavy Duty Clutch kit (still in the box from Caz group buy back in Feb).

Geez Barry you dont mess around lol lucky I didnt fit the brakes yet :D :D

Pics jogged my memory I remember the car now.

I have seen this car and seen it running also with no issues. I am also no panel beater but the damage looks pretty superficial with only minor front support panel damage. The rest of the car is in pretty good nick for its age and will be a good buy for someone to play with.

    My 2 cents

    I have a compression tester

I'll run the numbers tomorrow (should have thought of doing that).

I am totally convinced it has not been boosted, it doesn't even have a pod filter.

The hit wasn't all that hard, even the intercoolers are still connected up and undamaged. The reo bar and the front bar took the most of it. There is a small crease in the radiator support bar, but the radiator and hoses are intact.

As for the purple, if I remember my primary school finger painting, red and blue equal purple. So I'll chuck in a set of blue sunglasses. :p
