What they do... Ok, best way to really understand is to get a friend or family member to sit inside your car and press the brake pedal. If you stand near the engine and look at the Brake Master Cylinder you'll see that with each press of the pedal, the Cylinder moves outwards. The Brace from this groupbuy is designed to stop the Cylinder from moving and as a result you'll get a firmer pedal and better/quicker brake response. That's about the best way I can describe it. Yeah, but you also get wobbly wheels when you brake (not related to the brace, comes with the sticker)

Why is this so expensive? Excuse my ignorrance im new to the forum but, Iv done my research and searched on the www.conceptzperformance.com site and they are selling tem $35? Given the dollar is so close to the US currency shouldnt these be cheaper by now?? I mean you have sold over 150 of @120 = $18,000 to date. I recently purchased a zed an really get shattered at the prices of parts that nearly all zed owner complain about. I'm 100% sure you got an awesome product their but why do us aussies get slugged so hard? Fellow zedders helping the sllugging too :help:

The 300 degree brace from ConceptZperformance won't fit our RHD cars, I bought one through a forum dealer and had to send it back. If you look at the options available in aus there isn't much, the Jap Cusco braces (which are supposed to be pretty crap), the UAS brace and the chili brace. The chili brace can be installed with a strut brace which is good because some of the other braces I've seen mount to the strut tower which means you have to modify them to use them if you have a strut brace. Even a production run of 50 is very small considering Cusco would be manufacturing hundreds of these at a time which would reduce the costs. Also I'm guessing these would be made in Australia which is abit more expensive than the stuff that comes from China. I guess the cost would be reduced if the item wasn't polished, but for a proven product that works well, $120 seems like a fair price.
Forgot one thing... Chili is getting a bit old and going by his appearance should have retired years ago.... except hes got a zed which forces him to slave away to keep the cash coming in....cant afford the zed and to retire, on the plus side the zed does help with his Viagra bill especially after a long drive on some hilly/twisty roads... but if its as good as everyone says it is.... for 120 (think the price of mine just doubled) then gotta be the cheapest mod for a zed in terms of cost/benefit...
