I have been trying to sort out some problems with my Z and much of it revolves around the EGR solenoid. I have two electrical connectors, one goes to the AIV which is removed and the other goes to the EGR solenoid. The way the car has been wired it isn't obvious which connector belongs to the EGR. Does anyone know the wire colours? One connector plug is white, the other is black.
    Thanks

    And a suplementary

Where does the EGR solenoid hook onto the EGR.

Is it Tee'd into the hose that goes to the top of the EGR?

Thanks for the reply Danzed. I read the article that you referenced and got this:

The engine harness connector to the AIV solenoid is black, and the EGR connector is white. The connectors are deep under the vacuum lines, and cannot be seen. The white AIV connector can be left dangling after it is unplugged, and will not cause the ECU to throw any error codes.

I get the same thing trawling through TT.net. Different posts contradicting themselves. Some definitive answers are needed!

    Crap!

    Now you've got me scared...

I've just plugged my EGR solenoid back in with the white connector... (Just ran back outside to make sure which colour it was lol ) and taped off the black one (AIV in theory...)

Guess we wait till someone can give us the final word!

    Cheers,

    Dan.
