This might be a bit of a dumb question but ive been pulling my car apart bit by bit, roll cage is going in soon, but i took the front bar off to put some new fridges in and was looking at the re-circ valves and wondered....

When putting in a BOV(s) Is it neccassary to install two on these things?
    and why?

Assuming im not joining both together.

As in is it a problem disconecting only one recirc and plugging the plumb back up, and just having one re-circ and on with a BOV.
Does this lead to any pressure problems/imbalances ?

This leads to one bank receiving a different air fuel ratio than the other. Your car will run like crap.

Do it properly or don't do it at all IMHO.

    It can be done...

I have seen a single BOV installed on a custom balance pipe between the two intake pipes just before the throttle bodies.

I guess the air would heat up a fair amount and detonate.

    By fitting ...

    ... BOV's :D

Caz does a great price on GFB's and cheaper to use 2 than making up a balance pipe unless you can DIY.

Im running 1 BOV on a custom balance tube I got made up for $50, it runs between where the recircs where and blocked the pipes goin back to the intake works fine for me

Ive always wanted a 300, and now that i got one and tryn to setup for drift, ive been taking just about everything off the car and gettin my head around the setup. Like ive installed BOVS on my last to cars and had no troubles. Its just the whole twin turbo thing im trying to figure out.

Its quite neat, almost like if i cut the engine down the middle it would be equal on both sides. Anyways the need for a BOV isnt that important to me, i was just looking at the recircs and jst wondering about it as i couldnt figure out why it would be any different if one vented and one recirculated..

I like the idea of having the BOVS under the pod in under that front panel as the fuz would have to go to lengths to find them haha.

    Thanks Guys

Did you just replace the hard pipe with another with a BOV fitting?
Im interested because i dont see the point in having two, and if i really wanted to id get a T-bar setup to link both pipes and put the bov in the middle on that.

Was just wondering if you had any pictures or do's and dont's if i were to do it your way?

Dont like the sound of having a balance pipe made up, although not very expensive, im still weary

Did you completely plug the other bank or what?

    BOV + compressor surge?
