Compression test question

    Is warming the car up to where the needle moves up and is between the pin it usually sits on and the C marker enough? Just did a compression test on the front 4 cylinders and they all read about 90psi. Reason I did a compression test was because when I removed the wire running to the coil pack on cylinder #2 it made absolutely no difference at all. Also, when I did the compression test and had the plugs out,#2 cylinder had "puffs" of fuel coming out of the plug hole, but nothing out of the other ones. Any ideas on why this may be?

    removing the coil pack connector and making no difference could mean a few things including:

    - your coil pack is stuffed
    - the coil pack connector is stuffed
    - the injector connector is stuffed
    - the injector is stuffed

    i just went tho the same problem.. I'm doing a full rebuild ,,,, but yes it should be warmed up to operating temp.. some will say the you can put a spoon of oil down in the cylinder to see were it is leaking from ,,,,, i tried that and it was suppose to be the bottom end that was no good ,,, but i had the bottom end rebuilt and there was nothing wrong with it ...

    it was my heads all the time ..... i had 111psi in the cylinder

    Yep, have done all that

    tried swapping coil packs and that's ok, and there is power and pulse going to the coil pack. Also the injector is pulsing. When I removed the plug it was fouled up and wet too.

    its not bad but not good ..

    I'm in the proses of a full rebuild so bigger and better things to come...

    Are you an NA or TT, My na is cracking 180psi but im at 11.2-1 comp.......90psi is way too low even for a TT....rebuild coming on I feel
