Porsche GT3 Carbon Fibre - they sell in the uk for around 1800 pounds each and in OZ for about 2k each. Reckon i have just dropped 50kgs out of the zed. Only problem is i cant put on anymore weight and although the passengers in the rear have more leg room (about 3inches) its gonna be fun getting in with the seats not being foldable. I love it
They would be the ultimate defectable item you could fit to a 2+2(and would be a virtual Death Warrant to anyone riding in the rear seat). In case you don't realize it, front seats in a 2 door, 4 seater vehicle MUST give rear seat passengers some vestige of "hope of escape" should the vehicle be involved in a major accident/fire/immersion in deep water, etc. All those extra Kilo's you've attained are squeezing your brain into a solid lump of meat.:zlove:
who said i put people in the back seats? from memory i have never used them in the past 2 yrs i have had the car. Thanks Lloyd- smart alec :bash:
The electric stock seat + rail weighs about 27kg, the stock passenger seat + rail about 19kg. Actual weights, seats were removed from car. total weight, 46kg. AK then needs to add a few kg for weight of the rails, so total net saving should be about 30-35kg. And AK, while your car has back seats, and is registered as a 4 seater, it doesn't matter a pinch whether you use the back seats or not - still a potential defect issue.
Great comeback Dumbo.:banned:That's about a smart as saying you don't need Headlights or Taillights, because you don't drive at night.
Just speaking to the guys putting them in - and they have confirmed for the aus300zx.com forum that the seats are adjusted to move all the way forward creating the same if not more room for rear passengers to get in and out. Also i had two electric seats.
That's a good way to scan for fatties now, if she dont fit in your car seat then she's no good! lol j/k
Just remove the rear seats lol. I was looking at these seats as an option, hard to come by cheaply though.
wont matter how far forward they come if they dont tilt.. still illegal.. we removed the backseat all together from my bros escort coupe for the same reason.. besides.. then you can put 5 point harnesses in
Yeh ahaha when i had 2 take my car over the pits, the fat inspector couldnt fit in my bride fixed back seat  But he still passed it
They look pretty snugly, but is the cushioning any good on em? Would be perfect if they were recliners, but oh well, look sweet man. just dont get pulled over. To bad my fat ass wont fit into any after market seats
yeh + 1 vote for removing the rear seat and adding harnesses besides they are just dead weight anyway if ur not using them
