2 x Series II Z31's in 3 years and the only real problems I've had so far is a wheel bearing go bad and an alternator die.

Pretty darn happy with that especially considering I drive my cars balls out every where I go! :)

I have to agree there, these cars dont age.
I had a businessman come up to me and ask if i had just driven it out of the international motor show as he saw a car there earlier that day and thought it was the exact same car  :D
It certainly creates alot of attention everytime i stop somewhere or pull up at a set of lights, its like the paparazzi are following me,out come the cameras, flashes going everywhere, quite embarassing really :D :D :D

Always Happy to own a Zed....

Mine's been layed up for a while after getting hit (While stopped at an intersection), then repairing damage to the front bar(Twice - once by the garage's hoist, then by an RACV tow truck) and having the radiator core blow, with subsiquent repairs uncovering corroded pipes plugs and housings through the radiator, thermostat, cooling system and warped heads...... BUT I'm getting the old girl back within the next few weeks and I'm looking forward to it!!!!:zlove:

I'd still rather own a Zed which is stuck at the garage, and be able to enjoy her while she's on the road, than go conservative and drive a boring 'sensible' car with the performance and appeal of a shopping trolley!!! :zlove:

    Good and Bad news today!

    The good news is:

My mate and I bled the braking system and all sorts of strange colours and bits ran out of it! now I have some nice stopping power again.

    The bad news is:

We took it for a run up the main road, I drove up and Chris - my mate drove back down, we were pulled by a police bike with Chris doing 122 in a 110 kph limit, it got worse though, the policeman spotted my radar detector (which was off) and booked me for having one in the car.

    Result!

Nice brakes, Chris with a $190 fine, Me $290 fine and confiscation of the unit!

Well, that makes me feel a lot better! Sorry about your mate!

Why is it they advertize Satnav that will warn you of red light cameras and speed traps and they are legal, whereas a detector isn't - amazing what they do to raise revenue for the States nowadays!

I love my Z , its never had any sort of failure yet , i drive it nearly every day and its very reliable , The only sign of weakness is it might get a bit hot when in slow traffic but nothing on it has ever broken down or failed. ( touch wood ) lol .

Funny thing happened just yesterday. I was reading the paper having some lunch in a car park when a woman with strong accent said , excuse me but can I ask what sort of car is this , I said it?s a 300zx , she said is it new can I buy one at the shops , I said no you cannot , try newspaper , she said i really like , its very beautiful , .. hehehe ,

ps , i hope they never make radar detectors illegal in the West they are a fantastic must have accessory imo.

    Happy happy stories:
Well the zed LOOKS friggin awsome. Take off the targa's and multiply that "awsome" by 1000

Drive it with the targa;s off down a coast road, by yourself or in convoy with some mates, and multiply that "awsome" by 10,000

Have a boganwhore come up next to you and leave him standing at the lights with zero effort, x 1,000,000

Yes mine is in the garage at the moment with "unknown issues" but all of the above makes it worth it.

    BUT

While mine may be pretty on the outside at a glace, she needs HEAPS of work to bring her up to scratch.

    Slowey slowley......

    Cruisin' on emotion...

Well, just today actually, I was driving back from the shops through my estate, there were some kids playing on the side of the road/park and as I drove by all I hear was this loud "WHOA" followed by a lot of pointing and staring...at the Zed...

Took me at least an hour to wipe the grin off my face...lol :D

    Isn't that a success story? Kinda... :)

    Rob out.
