Cheers...it doesn't sound too bad actually for a quickly thrown together system. I've tested it with a few sub-woofer test tracks and seems to handle any low frequency I throw at it!
Drop by and have a bo-peep if ya like....

ps. technically, 'literage' isn't a word....but it was 3am when I sent that post!! :D

    From memory, I think I used about 2.5 to 3 sq.m.
I put 2 layers on the 6x9 boxes and 3 on the sub box because of the constant low resonation. Well, that's my theory anyway!
More importantly, make sure you have shite loads of resin....I think I used just over a litre.

techinically it is,wine growers and milk manufacturers use it in estimation of their weekly output of liquids :D :D :D

its hard to make 12kw of car audio look nice! was hard enough just getting 2 runs of 0 guage and 1 run of 4 guage from the battery to the amps

ahhh, i was looking for an install with more power, see the problem i has is i am running 2x 5000 watt mono blocks, 1x 2000 watt 4 channel and 1x 2000 watt 2 channel, 2x 25 farad capacitors, 1x 6 farad cap, 2x runs of 0 awgs, 1x run of 4 awg, all 4 awg wiring from caps to amps, 8awg wiring from amps to subs, 12awg from amps to speakers, 2x 4500 watt quad voice coil subs, 800 watt earthquake 6x9's, 600 watt 6" earthquake splits, 400 watt 4" earthquake splits, 150 watt fusion tweeters, 300 watt audiobahn 4x6's, thats alot of power, which all gets hot, i cant cover up my amps(2 of them are and its a bitch to keep them cool), unless i rig up a fair number of fans to keep air flow coming through my mono blocks even though are more powerful then my subs will have problems keeping them cool, if you can just imagine how much wiring (over 30 wire runs) i think i have done pretty well to only see 4 wires!

i dont think overheating is your major concern, thieves and ear damage would be though :rolleyes:i didnt say you hadnt done well, just looks unfinished
Im curious as to where you put all of that, and how much it all weighs

haha yeh i worry alot about thieves!!

i dont park my 300zx any where lucky i have another car! and i have video surveylance at my home + a good alarm so yeh :p cant let little worries stop you from doing what you love though, and i love loud music :D

i would love to fibre glass it however and mount the 6x9's into the scheme facing on a nice angle and the amps in better position, further from the subs because they do vibrate quite a bit, better to keep amps away from subs as much as possible, and just a note never mount them to a box containing your subs because the vibration can detatch components in the box, but i also dont want to sacrafice efficiency by trying to make it look nicer!

    my suggestion is to
tint the back and side windows very dark,
    1/ for security
2/ for keeping the sun off all the equipment

these are whats already in the 300zx

i dont think the soundstream xxx's will go in the 300zx though, i have a swift gti which i want to make into a dedicated comp car, with no rear seats, huge box occupying most of the rear and 4x amps to run the 2 subs ^_^ it wont be neat though!

pic of the set up already in the gti

box will be twice the size of that one
