i had my Z for 1 year and half, i was very happy and proud of it, but now im sad and happy to finnaly get rid of it. - sad because i spent nearly 8K to customize it, to make it look nice. - happy because ive nearly spent 6K to fix it since i have it, and 1 of my turbo just died ... i sold the Z 1h ago for $10K. i'm sad to leave the Z's world, but ive learnt a lesson: dont buy an old car if your wallet cant follow im buying a celica 2001 supercharged tomorrow. i just hope i wont have as many mechanical problem as i had on my Z. i'll miss some nice people such as Byron, Lloyd, Terry, Ali, and all the people from sydney which who i couldnt go cruising with lately because i didnt trust my Z enough ... i wish you all the best with your cars
yes i did, he knew a lot about the Z apparently ... he came twice with a friend and checked the radiator, exhaust, looking for leaks, etc ... the car was advertised on car sales and it was written that 1 turbo was dead ... other than that, he didnt have time to bring it to a mechanic cause he wanted the car straight away ... bit risky ... but the customer is the king ...
Doesnt mean you have to stop coming on Cruise mate! Sorry to see that your Zed has gone mate, hope you told the new owner of the forum. Personal I thought your Zed was an awesome bit of work, but yep they are getting on and you have to be on top of the maintenance like any sports car! Hope to see you on one of our cruises soon, will organise one when Chili gets his beast sorted. MattB
I think the real lesson to be learned here is to get your car in 100% mechnical condition before installing fluff... Your car looks quite mean though, that guy got a good deal.
well if u still accept celica supercharged in your cruise ... i dont think ill be able to keep up with Twin turbo Zs, but i can still come. i would be more than happy to join well i had the www.aus300zx.com sticker on both sides of the back windows of my car, so maybe the new owner will be a bit curious and come to look at the websit and then join the community ... who knows bad thing about the celica im buying, is that there is a NOS kit instaled in it (apparently never used) but no one insurance want to insure me if the NOS kit is instaled on the celica ZR ...

well, i didnt do a pressure check on the Z so i wasnt sure at 100% if the HG was gone or not. i show him how it smell petrol from the radiator, and that the radiator was losing water ... (water started to coming oiut of the engine when it was hot) i told him 1 turbo was dead, and if he was planing to fix 1 turbo, he should better fix the 2nd one as well, cause if the 1st one died, the 2nd might follow soon. he was aware of all this, i even thought i wouldnt buy it, and he came a 3rd time at 11PM to pay me cash for the car ... i rekon if he puts a 2nd hand 94 engine, the car will be perfect ...
Cool. Sounds like YOU did the right thing at least, esp if you showed him the coolent leaking out at temp from the engine (which def sounds like HG to me) So yeah, all on him from here on in. Maybe he knows someone with an engine he can get cheep as.... who knows. Cosmetically urs was smick as mate. Love what you'd done with the car.

Of course not, Nitrous is completely illegal to have installed or used in your car on public roads throughout Australia. You have 2 options: 1: Remove the NOS system and sell it for $$$$ 2: Don't tell insurance about it and hope they never find out.

You done an awesome job on it.
