After a lot of headache, legal issues with another spraypainter, money saving lost license and whatnot its finally happening. Getting my license back in 9 days and this Wednesday my car will finally be done. But il cut the crap and put up what everyone loves, pics!! today they were doing the last sand down, tomorow that last layer of clear goes on. The front bar still has to be sanded down one last time aswell. Im so excited!!!
 cant wait to see final results. good to see that youve seen the light and come over to the dark side (wait is that right...)
Looks good Did you go straight black or black with a pearl? I'm saving up atm for a respray. Hopefully at the end of the year
HAHAH from silver to black, silver zed owners are pretty against black...even though they know black is the best colour on a zed ..LOVE IT MAN , cant wait to see the final look...keep pics updated
Its straight black. I know everyone puts pearl in these days but i like the more subtle stylish look, i dont like pearl. Il post a lot of pics once its finished. Can any of you guys with a bit of experience in the field, recommend me some non off the shelf wax ? And if i shuld wax it myself or get a shop to do it for me ?
boooo hissss, here i was thinking it was a silver respray. then the car turned black halfway down the page... jokes, cant wait to see the end results. all the best with that sandeep. there is a downside though, you'll find yourself fussing over the paint and wanting to wash it more often p.s. you better be keeping it silver.
yeah i couldn't go for anything other than silver, i've come to like it too much... so it'll stay silver but not stock silver... I've found a new silver that I haven't seen on any Z32 but I have to check if I can afford the paint first... Adriano, I think it looks good straight gloss black. 2000 spec tail lights freshen up the rear abit too. Did you strip/smooth the ripply stuff from the lower sides and rear? Can't wait to see it all buffed and polished. Personally, I'd probably get the car professionally detailed after the paint/clear has had time to cure. Or your painter probably can do it or will recomend someone to you.
Well the chip proof bit at the bottom was suppose to come off, i remember i told him to sand it all down, but today i saw that he didnt do it. I dont care much about it so i didnt tell him anything about it. I was expecting to find that ripply (orange peel) effect to the paint, but i was pleasently surprised when i saw the front bumper bar, the finish was very nice already and that was without the last sand, so its more then what i was expecting
adriano .. pm zanjara (nathan) for advice on how to treat/look after your brilliant new paint job ... nathan is our resident professional car detailer .. knows his stuff ..!!!
These are the first pictures of the car resprayed. Very happy with how it turned out overall, not happy with the details tho, things not fitting like before (interior mainly) screws missing here and there... And my blinkers on the 2000spec bar dont work and neither are the break lights on the 2000spec rear tailinghts, which were working before the respray. Note third brake light works. And the blinkers now flash like crazy, instead of a flash ever 1-2 seconds whatever it is they flash twice per second, if you get what i mean. Can anyone help me? To the pics...
omg...arent you glad you went black lol apparently once you have gone black you never go back ahahah....love the pics...very nice mate
save some more money and go back to silver...JK. it looks pretty good though. your lights might not even be plugged in so i'd look at that first and also make sure to put all the interior screws back in. nothing worse than driving around with rattles around you.
With new paint, you shouldn't need to polish/wax it for some time, just wash it (water restrictions permitting) with a quality automotive wash (do NOT use dishwashing liquids/detergents, they tend to be too alkaline and do not have the rust inhibitors that the auto washes have) but when you decide it's necessary, just go with a quality line of products... Mothers, Meguiares, AutoGlim, etc. But DON'T mix brands! Do a search for "detailing" with Zanjara as author. I tend to agree with you with regards black finishes... adding a pearl detracts from the appearance IMO. Waiting for pics of the finished product!
hey there mate sounds like your indicator problem is a blown globe put hazards on and check which ones out and replace, also just may not be plugged in properly same as the brakes.
