lots of cars going in the wrong direction today including our car but no damage done the throttle got stuck open on the GT40s car causing Paul to go careering into the kitty litter at the end of the straight at 180 clicks! Paul and car are ok though. but his throttle problems continued which meant he could only manage a best time of 60 something. our car managed a 58.06 on a warm QR day, pretty sure thats 1st in class and 3rd overall out of 130 or so cars. also due to the GTs problems that gives our car a points boost so will be interesting to see the points tally when the results are posted on the QR website. special mention goes to Rob Nguyen and his now lightning fast CRX who managed a 56.92 in a 160HP NA! that car is very quick through the tight turns where all our time is lost. 3 rounds to go and will probably get some slicks organised for the fronts before the next one to try and pick up some more time
yes indeed it is obviously it isnt as quick in a straight line or in turns 1 and 2 but the twisties is where all the time is to be made on the sprint circuit and that is where it shines. I think it would be different on the national circuit though. will be doing Top Gear runs next year and I think we will get to run on the national circuit in those events. PS points are now up on the website and it's once again a tie for the lead!
