Whilst coming back from friend's place today I had a sudden loss of power especially at lower revs. Now I have the check engine light flashing at 1 second intervals (roughly). It stops flashing at idle. I did an ECU diagnostic and it is a clean 55. I looked in the tech section but couldn't find anything that resembled my problem. Any ideas about the cause?
    Cheers

I had a similar problem without the performance problem. I had no code recorded and the problem stopped. Most of the info I found suggested an O2 sensor problem.

Further research (umpteen search filters) revealed a similar problem to a forum member with a weak battery. Like him I have been away for a week so I topped up the battery, recharged it and it seems to have gone away. Weird, and I think the ECU is very susceptible to low battery voltage. I will go for a long run tomorrow and see how it goes. :)
