today my zed was inspected and it will be passed on to it's new owner within an hour. after 4 years of ownership, virtually the entire time i have been able to drive, i have had this car. in that time i have become rather emotionally attached. even at the 11th hour, whilst negotiating on the phone i very nearly pulled out of selling it. so here's goodbye to a beautiful car that has been my passion for over 4 years. it's been a shitload of fun! even today i had a great drive in her. i'll never forget braking heavily in 3rd gear, perfect heel and toe to 2nd, then powering out the otherside of a corner. brilliant stuff! i would like to thank everyone from the forum who has helped me out over the years, specifically rob260 (top guy), and JT for helping me install the new suspension and the drag racing tips. also UAS for looking after and modifying my car so well. cheers to the forum as well, a huge amount of info, especially in the tech section, and some great people. i will recommend the new owner to here, i just pray he looks after it as well as i have. cheers james
Sorry to hear James But just because you have sold the car, doesn't mean you can't still be a member of this forum or go to any of the events. You can't just go COLD TURKEY, not after owning a ZED. Good luck James. Your Zed was one of the nicest looking and best looked after i have seen, the new owner should be very pleased. Hopefully we will see you at some future events.
I just knew when I came on here today, that there would be some bad news somewhere(I just didn't think it would be this bad). Don't leave just because you sold your car James, you are a damned nice guy and you will always be welcomed by Lynn and I(no matter what you drive). Very sad to see you go! Hey James, mate sorry to see the time has finally come and I'm genuinely touched at being mentioned in your post. I think Lloyd's put it best, hope you keep in touch no matter what's parked in the drive!
