been playing around with my interior, so far it's not looking too bad for a first attempt and considering i did it all myself! the leather cost me about $200 and a few dollars on glue and stuff so its been a pretty cheap experiment even if i were to mess it up.
Looks very nice Clara!! That looks great clara well done. great to see your handy work cheers Zedipated:zlove:
Nice Clar... Looks like someone has been very busy hey... Doesn't it feel good though to do it yourself...you get more enjoyment knowing you've put your own blood, sweat and tears into the car...it becomes a part of you... Can't wait to see the seats...so far it looks great! How is Dave enjoying his new ride? Cheers Rob.
how hard looks really good Clara, how hard was it to do, I've been a bit scared to try mine . (suppose that makes me a bit of a chicken)
i dunno if i can do it or i have to get it done by a pro....i attempted the wheel arch as in the 2+2 and i swear i got a sore back and sticky stuff everywhere....must really get a bench ANYWHO great work.....how did u do the handbrake cover.......
yeah it will prolly get dirty but i'd rather see the dirt so i can clean it instead of having black interior and never knowing exactly how dirty it is ... i mean can you imagine after 15yrs of wear what kind of build up there would be on black seats? lol i'll be more than happy to do it or at least give you a hand with yours, better wait a litte while though in case mine starts falling apart! been doing it when i get home so a panel per night i guess including taking the panel off and putting it back cause i have to use the car during the day. the centre console and under dash i did on a saturday cause i had to pull off too many panels. took apart the one that was on there and used it as a pattern to make the new one up, sewing machine came in handy though speaking of handbrake covers now that i have the pattern if anyone wants one made up let me know ... i'm thinking of making a couple and when i get bored of one colour i can change them around!
I did mine the same way on Saturday. Took me most of the morning. All went well until I came to the last seam across the top. You need to get through 3 layers of leather now and then and those tiny needles I had just kept breaking. Ended up doing it by hand.
