My Zed Is Vibrating

    Hi People

    I am having a vibrating problem when i drive my Zed when i reach about 70kms i am getting a vibration till i reach about 80kms then it goes what can that be.................:eek:

    tailshaft centre bearing?

    had a similar problem

    a search on "tailshaft", '"centre bearing" and "vibration"

    should throw up plenty of reading material ...

    Centre Bearing

    Are they easy to replace and install yourself or do u need to take them to a mechanic

    Are you sure you just didn't knock that vibrator in you pocket ?

    There are even active threads on the subject.

    It's not hard to remove the driveshaft. Just jack up car, rmove exhuast, remove heatshields, unbolt centre bearing, unbolt diff end of driveshaft and it will silde out. Getting the flange off the driveshaft which holds the centre bearing on is a real prick. You need a rattle gun. A good one.

    ive got a centre bearing for sale! what impecable timing :D becandsteve2003 has expressed interest but if that falls through i can sell you it

    ill put another option out there i had the same problem except i had a new tail shaft. this tail shaft was good so i had a think and wound up changeing the diff oil to redline heavy weight shock proof. to cut a lond story short it fixed the problem

    could be lots of things. tires out of balance? CC bearing, tension rod bushings, etc.. look for busted, bleeding bushings or bearings.
