Yep why not Im a fast learner but also quite new to the 300zx, more people the more chance we'll have of straightening out some issues. Ive had to be a fast learner, my car is a hard task-master! Ive pm'ed danzilla, will see what we can organise. Keeping in mind how time-poor I am!
sweeet... well ive got an NA (im assuming u can use the same gear to check the NA) and i live near drummoyne... am i close to you???
close enough Yeah the 'boost' check can be used on the NA, its just a way of putting about 3 to 5 psi into the air system (also oil system) to check for leaks. Id be hoping the NA will be much easier, less pipes and easier access, and less vac lines too. I used soapy water, wet hand and pipe-in-ear methods to find all mine, if one of you is a smoker that might be useful too. Try to get hold of two PCV valves and their (new) rubber hoses left & right, I just changed mine its well worthwhile. You can clean the valves up if the springs havent gone weak, but new hoses are required as used ones go brittle. The PCV's if malfunctioning can give various troubles such as oil leaks, smokey zorst, poor idling. and carby cleaner, lots of it. im addicted to it now. haha.
