I am in the process of plenium removal, hose bypass egr removal and manual conversion.
With the pcv valves I reda somewhere to just clean them and dont bother replacing them...... is this correct ?They were full of shit and did not move but now after a good soak with tb cleaner they seem fine .
    cheers

You're right they can be cleaned but considering all the trouble you're going to wouldn't you prefer to replace them and be done with it? Coz does a kit that includes valves and new hoses for your entire system.

    Best to replace them

I cleaned my valves during a plenum pull. They worked fine for a few months and then the springs gave in causing the passenger side exhaust to smoke at idle. New PCVs from Coz solved the problem.

I would go ahead and replace them, they are supposed to be done under factory maintenance. If you track or road coarse your Z, then consider doing the woody reroute, which stops them from getting clogged with oil under heavy cornering.

For bad fuel consumption you may want to do a search, theres plenty of threads on what you can do to improve that.
But for starters you can do a full engine flush, swich to full synthetic, change O2 plugs, spark plugs, and theres plenty more.
If you can get in contact with someone that has Conzult then you can check if your O2 are working properly or not

My dipstick also pops out and sprays oil everywhere :(
I've cable tied it in for now...
I really hope its the PCV's are just clogged coz if it turns out the rings are gone or something major like that I'm not gonna be happy:eek:
