I wont laugh Ive been pulled over by a mounted cop (for a license check not far any wrong doing) so if it happens by a turbo diesel astra then Ill giggle but wont laugh since Ive been stopped by a 1hp unit.

I've gone against and beaten 3 WRX's. They get the start off the line, but as soon as I had traction (lol) I caned it. Caught up by 60 k/h and well past him by 80. The STI's are another story. They are a bit quicker than a stock Z, but turn up the boost and the Z will be faster, though again not off the line.

The police down here in Vic have been using the ol' WRX for quite some time now. They're using a fair few as unmarked cars, while back in 2000 they were hooning around in WRX pursuit cars like this one: . They're also pimpin' it up in a Chrysler 300C these days too. Honestly, only Miami Vice had better cars than the Victoria Police.
Why is it called a downgrade in the media when it's as fast, has many times better handling and steering than the the Holden and better fuel economy?
we've lined up to the WRX In NZ that is on a quarter mile. Your right quick to start but slow to finish. They were hotted up too. How ever I wont be trying it on the cop's unless it's on a drag strip.

because to the media and normal people, size is everything... its smaller, less cyl so it has to be less powerful=downgrade... more displacement is everything, and a 8 is the fastest car in the world i think good on them, alltho turbo cars generally have more running costs then non turbo cars and guess who has to pay for them i reccon they should have to have crappy second hand cars!!! haha how they like dem apples!
