Hey zedders i was interested in using this Abflug front bar for my Z... I went through all the proper steps and had it all prefitted and re worked to fit nicer than most "raw glassed" items by an experienced panel beater. All nessesary holes are predrilled for your painters conveniance and your wallet! Basically im not willing to see the whole kit thing through so ive decided to stick with the original curves of the z... its far easier for me this way. This bar is available through most body kit shops that import from asia... but they wont be prefitted as good as this item. This bar was off of a car in japan.. so it was unlikely to be moulded from the cheap asian places. I saw it on a half cut and saw how good it looked then. this bar doesnt hang very low like some.. abflug usually sit stock height or 5mm lower tops.. The front lip of this bar also fits in with the original z32 bar floor so your FMIC / radiator wont suffer. Ive had this item primed and checked over by my beater and it seems satisfactory for a good final result once painted. Here are the pics: and wat it could look like finnished... There are actually an Australian company, http://www.jetspeed.com.au/ Saying AbFlug style would be accurate too as AbFlug make similar looking bars (sim300's), but can be easily distinguishable by it's fins located under the front indicators/fog lights.
I don't think Jetspeed make their own designs. They're all copies of other stuff.. And the original post says it was cut off a car from Japan. I doubt any Japanese dude with a z32 would buy front bar from an Australian supplier.. especially if it is indeed a copy.. That said, I'm not going to argue that it's genuine abflug or anything.. but yeah.
It's fiberglass. I thought abflug make theirs out of polyurethane. (could be wrong). Also, unless it's an old design, i don't see it on the abflug website. It's similar to one there though. It may have been adapted from that design? Or an old one.
mines a abflug front bar, came with it from japan so fairly confident its a real abflug,and its fibreglass..... not many companies work in urethane,really on stillen,genuine nissan and possibly others but most places use glass....to the best of my knowledge antway..dont want a flame war lol now lets try and keep on subject,whos buying the front bar of this guy?!...lol
Oh me me. hehe. Yeah, I was looking at your bar. It's the Z32 Front bumper spoiler Type-2 isn't it? I can't find this one though, which makes me think yours is probably original and this one is probably been modified from the Z32 Front bumper spoiler Type-3. Not the same, but closest on the site. That makes me unique just like everyone else.
