Yeah right, most likely had its boost upped, ecu fiddled etc. A low 4 sec is getting into super car territory I'm sure even Nissan wouldn't want one high 5sec GTR and another a low 4 sec GTR, as a customer i certainly would feel ripped off getting the high 5 sec GTR.

This hype etc feels a bit like the sub 8 minute Nuremberg lap done by the GTR. Independent european tests put the GTR around 30sec slower (or 8.28), which seems about right. Or the 7.15 Nuremberg lap supposedly done by the upcoming GTR......:bash: :bash: :bash:

    it was a gtr v-spec.
it doesnt seem impossible at all

and all gtrs can make 0-100 times of under 5 seconds.

from what i remember it was a time like 7:58 by an r33 gtr iirc
which was claimed to be the "first" time under 8 min with a time of 7:58
but the jaguar xkr had already lapped the ring in 7:45

yes the 1490kg quoted is for the 2 seater NA manual not TT.

from what ive read on this forum of actual owners TT 2 seaters are around mid 1500kg mark.

what about the slowest moving part of the car, the "driver" can have a major influence

Stock, I highly doubt the GTR can achieve a sub 5 sec 0-100, much less a low 4 0-100.

Consider the Porsche 996, it has the same power as the GTR (300hp), bred and made for the track, and a bit lighter. It's time around the ring? a lowly 8:23. Now the Porsche 996 Turbo achieved a time similar to the mythical GTR R33 (at 7:56). However this Porsche had 420hp to play with and only 1569 kg to cart around.

    supra, now thats interesting

to compare two cars with dual turbos
    a parrellel TT
    and a series TT.

go the zed, but well the supra might be good.

it would be a different story if u started at the line

standing still. your car would have more top end as its a bigger engine 3.0L vs 2.6 plus your car is running just under 1 bar boost so be fair mate. I am a bit surprised u are running so much boost given u have a stock ecu..u will notice a big difference if u upgrade to even a mines. That dude has a weird list of mods..he has a Power FC but not running higher boost? (is their much point?)

    Weights

    Interesting.
I had always been told (and read) that for TT Z's it was 1510 for 2seat and 1580 or 1590 for 2+2.

    Anyone else agree?

I weighed my 2+2 Manual TT with 20' wheels, FMIC, 3" Exhaust, and about half a tank of fuel and got 1550kgs.

And the guy told me its accurate to 10kgs. So say 1560kg max. Go figure..because i still for HICAS, and all the other useless things on the zed.

cant some one get some correct stats.......and its werid as i thought that the r32 was faster than the r33 or r34, am i wrong there?....anyways those track times show some good info.....eg that a cheap s2000 can get good times as compared to other more beefed up cars like a m3......comeon, its only a 4cyclinder 2litre.....0 and its not far off its supercar bro...the nsx... interesting aint it
