    Far out, widebands aren't cheap!

There are much cheaper ones, But this one had the best bang for the buck as it can monitor knock as well as both manifold temps as well as log for over an hour before downloading to a PC.

I would have liked one that had two wideband inputs but they where close to $900

For a cut down W.Band sensor package you can spend as little as AUD $350 for a locally made one.

    Plx device

    Hey Graham,

How funny is this, last week I purchased exactly the same device off eBay Australia to tune my car using your old Microtech setup. Classic such a coincidence. I did a bit of reading prior to the purchase and thought that I read that you will need to install an additional knock sensor to use the knock capabilities of the Plx as it requires a resonance type knock sensor rather than the standard flat type response sensor that Nissan use. So I again did some eBay research and saw these bad boys that looked like they would do the job nicely

Let me know how you go with installing it as I will be keen to see how it wires up and then how it works.

    Hi Andy,

    Weird shit Ehhh :D

I wasnt going to install it permanently. I was going to set it up as a stand alone. The Zemulator deserves to be used for more than just my car.

I havent got as far as reading the Knock sensor requirements. I spose I will when it gets here.

Keep in touch Andy, I am keen to see how you go with the microtech.
