Tats gud mate...Very lucky to get ur car bak in gud shape...

To deter such crooks...I guess, we all can use a wheel clamp, when our car is parked home or even other places(where we would be away from the car for a long time)...

Atleast they provide peace of mind...

I came across wheel clamps on google for $199 AUD... have to research more for cheaper ones..

    http://www.wheelclamps.com.au/category51_1.htm

PS: I am not sure how hard it is to use a wheel clamp, neva used one before..but they sure make things secure...

    Opinion guyz???

HOLY SHIT, tordek and I saw that car driving home from success to roe highway... had it's emergency lights on, but we couldn't think of anyone on the forum that hard a DARK red car. saw it around midnight (think around 12:30 actually) last night, was parked in emergency lane, with the emergency lights on. thought it'd just broken down, though i did comment it seemed odd that the driver would have walked away from it...

    Great idea

I will probably only use it in the garage, I wouldn't have this in the boot, it appears the unit is a bit klunky

The little buggers have been busy around here as well,,

12 cars stolen in the last week..
    plus 6 broken into..

I had the Z broken into, all they got were the spare keys to the Ford, which goes in tommorrow to have the locks changed..

    No Im padlocking the gates..

I like your idea getting a wheel clamp, but it is not that easy to take it off, better to have a good alarm and security with Keypad. Which can be only started with PIN like bankcard. I saw one today for 600. Planning to get one to save my baby from those M****Fu***ers.

    Cheers...

Thanks everyone. I really had a wrost time. As far as I can remember one of the wrost night in my whole life and moreover it was not insured. Just confirmed with insurance it didn't have fire and theft protection either though the insurance was mixed up with other two car. I am dead lucky. Now it is fully insured. Today the immob is fixed for 120.00 But I am going to install a sophisticated alarm system soon which does have a keypad to start the car.

New alarm for house will be installed.

Only damage is done to the car is the antena, don't know how much it will cost to fix. The motror is trying to pull up the antena everytime I start the car, very noisy.

Hopefully I will able to post some pic in this weekend....

Thanks again to everyone who left comment to cheer me up..

    :D :D

Wow, That was close. From now on if it is unattended make sure it is not stolen. Thanks you read the thread. I bought the car only three weeks ago and was busy with selling camry. So didn't have to post the pic. I should have done it. Even I was so broken and upset I didn't even bother to look for the car nearby, because You have so many exit from berrigan drive you never know which way they drove way. Also who thought they will leave the car only 2 min from my home..

If there is no car(stolen), whats the point worrying about the RIM :)
It does not damage the RIM if taken care of...

Vehicle Tracking System or GPS tracking in google
    http://www.gpstrackingaustralia.com.au/vehicle-tracking.html?gclid=CKuop-qn4IsCFR1Bggoda1ADcA
$2.95 a day (inclusive of all costs)...not much when compared to insurance we pay..also I guess, insurance premium can be reduced with GPS tracking..

PS: I still dont own a ZED...but will own one soon..getting crazy bout them day by day...

Try Quiktrak. They're pretty good I've heard.
    They have two levels.
The monitored level is where they call you when your car's alarm is triggered and if the car has been stolen they can call the police and have it immobilised if needed.
The other way is if your car is stolen you can call them and have the car tracked. It's abit cheaper but then who knows how far away your car could be by the time you realise it's gone.

u bought the car 3 weeks ago..sounds like the previous owner has done the dodge man. and kept a spair set of keys. id send the police around 2 his house for a interogation.. also another tip is 2 never give your actuall home address on the vehicle transfer papers as the scum of society can use this.... Spair keys+ your address,, doesnt take a rocket scientist

Glad you got your car back ok. I had a car stolen once. Lucky for me the tank was empty too, so it was dumped a few blocks down the road.

Time to invest in one of these anti theft devices :)
