    I can't imagine my life

without animals - I remember the devestation I felt when I found my cat under the house after she'd been hit by a car and sitting with her in the last few minutes. Unpleasant memories even 8 years on, but there are so many other good ones to focus on now remembering her and enjoying the company of my current pets.

People who love animals understand that you DO grieve for your pets, as they're part of your family. You obviously loved and cared for Abby and considering how some animals are treated in this world, she was lucky to have those wonderful years with you, just as you were lucky to have had her in your life.

she is a beautiful cat mate.

I am not lookiing forward to when my old fella finally goes. He's 14 now. Funny cause he's got alzheimers. He's got a very cuddly temperment as he got older

You have my condolences mate, having lost a dog that way, I know how difficult it can be. I'd be devastated to lose Sooty in such horrible circumstances. Just a further reminder that cat's really should be kept indoors, unless they are supervised. Better for the native fauna and better for them. Sorry again mate.

    Sorry to hear that Kr4usy

Its always sad when a pet dies, i remember when my malamute "Zac" died at only 12 months of age. He was born with a heart condition, we were told he would live for no more than 4 years, but we didnt expect him to die so soon. Sad thing was we were rolling around in the backyard, then all of a sudden he had a heart attack and died in my arms.. Oh yes, grown men do cry!!! Sorry but the pic is a bit big..

    Ohhh Nooo...that's horrible Andrew..poor Abby
    I hope your alright..:(..
Nothing can ever be said to make you feel better, as you know I love cats too..
Don't know what I would do if Boof ever died...even though you may have a cat for it's whole life, or only just 3 years..it still has a massive impact on you if you were to lose him or her..:(

    Love you Boof:

    red32 You talkin' to me?

So sorry to hear (read) about Abby's demise, Andrew! My families (parents, and now, mine) have always had cats around, and they add so much to our daily lives (any pets do, even dogs).

This may be a bit premature (I know you are grieving), but my wife breeds Siamese and Orientals... have a look at her website: Sandrakat Siamese
She currently has some kittens for sale which may appeal to you. I realise that this is a difficult time for you, but there are some schools of thought which believe that you should replace your recently departed pet with a new one, but of totally different appearance (so you never try to compare) as soon as possible. Of course, there are others who stress you should wait until the grieving process is over before considering a new pet, but what do they know? Anyway, have a look-see!
    Feel for you!.

Really sorry to hear about your cat, when any pet dies its terrible because it feels as though They're part of the family. I lost my dog last year and she was only 6, i don't ever cry but i definitely shed a tear then. RIP Misty

ahhh 3fiftyz beautiful dog. Prob one of the worst way for your pet to die.. in your arms or when you were having fun with it. i have a malamute myself he is coming up to i think 7 years of age or 8?? was so cute when he was a puppy now all he is good for is riding him when i am bored (yeah i can sit on the dogs back and he walks around with me on him lmao) big bastard though had to put him on a diet at one stage he was about 90kg. Vet told us if he didnt lsoe weight he would die at an earlier age. on 2 legs he stands about as tall as me, he still weighs more then me too :O

very sorry to hear about the loss andrew being in a family of pet lovers i have had a shit load of pets and it is sad when you see them go.

awww sorry to hear. I had a very close call with someone down the road from me's cat the other day .... luckily both cat and I had some fairly quick reflexes. Being an animal lover I would've been devastated if the worst happened.

    So sorry to hear that

    Andrew. Very cute cat.

I'm one of those people who if I had a choice of helping a human or an animal, I'll always pick the animal. I've lost a few pets (cats and dogs) over the years and I'm always more upset than when even a family member has died.

The fact that you went to the trouble of posting pics and a thread on here shows that your maybe the same?

Again, so sorry to hear this.

    White German Shepard?

Misty looks similar to Sheba, a white shepard I had until a few years ago. I was so devastated when she died. She was one of the best dogs I've ever had.
