Is rain a problem? and if it not then why.

Because it water would slope into the hole

Ok I really am stuck for cash and will take $350 .
It cost me twice that to make.
It would be good if someone in SE QLD wanted it and and I could drop it off.
    $350

Its an original alloy bonnet with a swaged vent and the little frame is alloy aswell.

Here is a quote from the WA licencing page, relevant for any WA buyers:

    http://dpi.wa.gov.au/licensing/1913.asp
And page 11 of this document by dotars represents the national code of practice:
    http://www.dotars.gov.au/roads/safety/bulletin/pdf/NCOP6_Section_LH_Body_Modifications_3Feb2006.pdf

And it seems to say that bonnet bulges are ok

Although personally, I like the original lines of the Zed, and hiding the vent is ideal in my opinion - also will attract less attention from LEO's

However, the vent is a little close to the windscreen in my opinion, which is a high pressure region - take a look at the EVO's rear-facing-vents and you'll see it's just after the lip of the bonnet which is a low pressure region and will suck the air out. High pressure regions force air, that's why some model cars have their air intakes right next to the windscreen

If you are interested, I can't imagine there would be any disadvantage in the rain aK. Your engine gets wet every time you wash your car and when it rains anyway (spray from wheels etc). If the only reason you are turned off this buy because of this, look at Greg's (pexzed). If he can drive in the rain with that bonnet you could drive with none at all!!!:D
PS I love your car Greg.:zlove:

Just put a little flap there that open rearwards with the direction of airflow but closes if its not moving like oil traps in a sump. I don't know how you would do it but a hinge would operate like this.

i think you'll find most people don't want it because water/rain will easily get into your engine bay.
