What a wank! The car may be fast but how good would the drivability be considering it has a carby a distributor and puts out 720hp naturally aspirated? It would be a pig at part throttle drivability and cold starts and probably anything other than WOT. my 2c Rich
"fantastic to drive at more sedate road speeds with its road friendly engine. It is currently being used as my daily driver in all weather conditions."
Pretty cheap actually as they are a kit car. Can also be bought as a turn key built car. Personally I dont like the look of them but they are extremely quick for what they cost. There used to be a few of them getting around at the QR sprints a few years ago when I was racing up there. http://www.ultimasports.co.uk/gtr/prices.html
How wrong you are, I would even go as far and say that its one of the most driveable supercar. Very tight parking space http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43ITD45n2pk&mode=related&search= Another tight parking http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=md8wwqOEdso Now for the record run http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyr5dgTJ6Jo&mode=related&search=
Oh right. When did you drive one? What has being able to park it got to do with anything I said? I have seen four of these at Targa and that can't even get close to a GTR never mind a porsche Turbo. The reason that EVERY car manufacturer now uses EFI is because Carby's and distributors like that are very poor by comparison. That is the point I am making not whether its good to park or not.
The last vid was the actual car being driven to the venue, setting the records and driven back home = very drivable. There are several tunes of the Ultima this ones the big daddy.........I doubt even a highly tuned GTR/Porsche can get close to this 700+hp beast (remember its also a light, torque monster, well setup and track oriented car). What you saw was probably the base model without the LS engine.
Might look ugly at front but the rear is mighty fine.....and who cares if it looks a little ugly coz when you see one on the road as i did its like wtf.. btw how much are the normal ones in AUD??
