    g'day,
well i've had the problem for a couple of months now and its driving me up the wall.
i have keyless entry, alarm/immobiliser system which also winds the windows up automatically.
when i go to arm the car, sometimes it will be fine, but other times after about 10-20 seconds it will go off. sometimes it'll last a few minutes then go off. there's no real consistency to it.
the sensitivity hasn't been changed at all, in fact nothing on the alarm has been touched.
at first i thought it was the bonnet sensor, after adjusting that so there's no way it misses contact, its still causing the problem. the ground has been cleaned and checked by Simmo (thanks mate).

i remember reading somewhere ages ago that when the batteries are getting low on your button thing (attached to the keys), the alarm will go off more frequently. is that true?

can anyone shed some light on what i should look for?
i've tried narrowing it down as much as possible, so far nothing. getting to a point where i don't know if i should take it to an alarm place to deal with, or even then, rip out the system and put a new one in.
    cheers
    Jay

Yep, as suggested above - battery voltage

drops can cause this. need to check your volts @ idle and with engine off. Also check volts with engine off and headlights on for a minute or two. This will remove the surface charge and tell you the true state of your battery.

voltage was around 12.7 with the car off, and 13.5 with the car running !!

The below is within range. Usually up to 14ish off idle but yours OK.
