I currently have a Z32, very clean and well kept, alot of forum advice and non performance mods done, running perfectly after mild rebuild and a changed auto tranny. (z32 na auto) I want a manual one but: 1. a conversion is too expensive and too much messing around and quit frankly I dont want to stuff up a car which has no issues. 2. cant sell my one for the life of me for near as much as people ask for another one. 3.Cant afford to get a manual and have to repair all the same issues from the start again. I have crossed that bridge and refuse to go any where near it again. My only other option is to sell mine or swap it for a Z31 and get some money on top.................... WHAT TO DO?????????
first of all, don't get a Z31 (no offense to any Z31 owners). it looks like your best option is to stick with the auto. you could possibly get a shift a will kit, but its still gonna be an auto. if you MUST have a manual, then wait till you've got some spare coin and do a conversion. it will cost you at least that much to switch Zs most prob, and you'll end up with a Z you don't know the history of.
you want a manual na z32 right? but you won't sell yours to buy another you won't do a conversion but you WILL swap it for a z31 with a bit of money on top? sounds like you've got your mind made up but that definantly isn't the path I'd be taking
X2 with john... get a shift at will kit....you might also be happy enough with a shift kit which will feel like a semi auto allowing you to quickly shift gears by just pushing the stick up or down...
my advice: 1. sell the car 2. wait 2-3 years and save some money 3. buy the car you really want. it will be worth the wait. it's what I did.
Sav ..... listen to Fleet. I had an Auto Skyline although it was turbo - but hell tryin to sell it privately noone wants an auto. Anyway do what I did .... wait a little while - be patient and save for the car you want. P.S - Z31's are a lovely car ... I had one and my biggest regret was selling it (it was a bit of a one of a kind though) just make sure you have the $$$'s to maintain it ..... you may think a Z32 is expensive to maintain but it aint got nothing on the Z31!!
sell it and buy a manual I'd sell it and put an extra grand or two in and buy a manual. If you look around you will find one that has already had all of the common maintenance stuff done. Remember everyone else is having just as much difficulty getting good money for their zeds so you should be able to pick one up cheap to make up for having to sell yours cheap.
Dont get a z31...........i am sure if u wait a while you can sell your car/save some money and buy the one you want............if ur car is in great nic there is no need to get rid of it asap.......good things come to those who wait..............
