WA: BBQ Dam Cruise 11th Feb 2007

Well guys, an excellent day had by all and sundry (with the possible exception of shaq). Nice, relaxing cruise down there but it is a shame they close up at 6pm

that was great guys and girls..shame that u had to go over the limit most of the time..wouldve been an actual cruise if we stayed together...oh well..friendly crowd u all are..had lots of fun...spsh going bush bashing with miksta and daniel..best weather for it!hope u got some great pics..hope to see u at the next cruiz or tech day! x

 

actually they kicked us out at 6:45pm so it wasnt too bad - if a certain couple of red z's didnt go bush bashing it wouldnt of been a hassle

shame that we spent so long at the 15min pitt stop at gateways (more like 40 mins ) as it cut into the bbq time - but oh well...

hope the roads werent too bumpy for ya all

Yea good cruise had loads of fun. On the first leg to gateways me and Ross got separated but know mater how fast we went we could catch up but it turns out we were in front and how about the drive hope, im not sore we were going fast enough

Firstly thanks to Kirst for organising a great day out!
Was a good day for a cruise, great weather. The roads were great and the BBQ spot was beautiful.
Pity we could not stay for the BBQ but it was a great drive there and back. Good to catch up with you guys again. See you at the next one!

Who says Z's cant bush bash (LONG!!!!)

Well what a crazy day to say the least

Firstly thanks to cha for keeping me company when we were lost and secondly i can't believe u've joined the forum LOL

The day started off going to Paul (C PINK) from SilviaWA's house to drop him off something, it turned out that his lift for the DBH cruise was running very very late, so as it turned out we went to the DBH meetpoint and to drop him off, was a nice arrary of cars there, iknew hardly no-one but meh..

Then it was off to city west, thought as much as i needed some petrol as i knew it would be a long cruise, so we proceeded to sightsee perth to find a BP servo haha, in the end we just went straight to the meet, i was honestly expecting more cars to rock up but a decent turnout nonetheless...

I have to agree with cha's comment that the cruise was too far paced, we were at the back of the group for all meetpoints, now yes we could have gone first but due to traffic lights and traffic in general, doing 160km/hr on the freeway and not going less than 120 trying to catch up was a joke, the whole idea of a cruise is to cruise together, this has to be the first crusie that i haven't cruised along with others haha, im not having a winge but don't expect any camera work as there was none..

Next was shaq's car breaking down on that long road (can't remember which one), Daniel aka RedZ and I stopped to give him a hand and to try and figure out what was wrong, my initial thoughts it was running on 5 cyl and after witnessing it blowing out black smoke, yeh something wasn't right, so that was 1/2 hr there trying to organise a lift of some sort to tow him back to civilisation, turn's out he fixed it in the end, no idea how or what was wrong...

By this stage Daniel and I were running late so with his GPS system, yes GPS!!, i gave him our map and he plugged it into the GPS and off we went, it showed the destination quite clearly

Now the highlight of the day

It turns out that yes believe it or not we took a wrong turn or rather didn't turn at all LOL , i'll be honest i saw the picnic area sign at the last second but didn't think as much as i thought it was a right coming up in the future and the GPS and map Dan had we'll get there soon, so yes...we kept on driving until we hit dirt and red dust, thought this was a bit wierd and though that it was only temporary, so we kept on driving, all of a sudden we stop in the middle of no-where and yes dan says were lost, we start laughing (at this stage...), so we went back me leading the way this time, so we retraced out steps and there was a Y junction where u can go left or right, i was unsure which way we came from (it all looks the same out there, red dust and tree's and kangaroo's and 2 red Z's ), so not knowing which way to go we took the right path, turns out this was the wrong path and we went further into some forrest, expecting to be killed by a farmer with a shotgun or something, we had a few photo's and a laugh and a cry haha, so yeh we FINALLY managed to get out of that place, retraced out steps again for the 3rd time and took the other path and finally we were out

Now u may be wondering why we didn't use the GPS to get out, well it turns out that the sattelittes don't reach where we were that day lol

Now we FINALLY reach the picnic area to find everyone but most crazy of all shaq entering at the exact moment as we did, then proceeded by everyone being immature little children and drawing stuff on my bonnet lol

After cracking open some beers we couldn't stay for long of course the ranger came and shut the place up, so after eating 1/2 rare hotdogs we had to leave again, no rest for the wicked

After the photo shoot and all driving home was once again really fast

All in all a crazy day, my zed is FILTHY , had a look at my engine bay and its covered in red dust EVERYWHERE, Simmo u thought my engine was dirty before, well dude u ain't seen nothing yet lol

Think i need a high pressure cleaner of some sort to clean all the mess off...

nice essay there old mikey mate, and SHAQ!!! how many times have i told you about your connectors u old scrote no good about the ranger mate, why did he shut everyone down, your luckcy i wasnt there as the BBQ master doesnt leave his snags on the barbe for anyone

and simmo u sausage!!! it wasnt the connectors it was just the bloody fmic pipes came off I was thrilled I fixed it and it was fun driving back... wasnt is brad??

I have to agree, don't get me wrong I had a good day but it felt more like a race than a cruise and that dodge road wasn't good for fast speeds.

What an awesome day! Big ups to Kirst and Dan, one of the best cruises I've been on in a long while....and it was nice to be up the front for a change, normally I'm the last to leave a meet point and get stranded at the back!

Roads to the bbq were so classy to drive on...had a stellar trip and the drive out was just pure driving insanity....loved it!!!!!

It was pretty fast going home (my poor limiter) but on the way I found everyone's speeds on the freeway pretty good. Apart from a few small squirts outside of perth I don't think I really went about 120 after gateways.

Some highlights:

Mickey Arriving. Funniest Cruise event ever! He loves the cock!

Josh losing an indicator due to high g-forces!

Catching up with Cha Cha......can't believe her and mickey ain't dating yet. *awaits slap*

Posing for ross every time I turned around.

Josh decided to bruise my right tit instead of my left tit for a change (kudo's buddy!)

Brad taking his shirt off every chance he got....no wait, that wasn't a highlight at all.

Finally getting to see ROBOFLOP in the flesh.....such a mean looking and mean sounding car.
